Update 2012-06-16: A sequel, Superfighters Deluxe, is in development. You can partake in pre-alpha testing by visiting MythoLogicInteractive.com .
Update 2011-07-28: SURVIVAL MODE added! Make your stand (solo or co-op) against endlessly spawning enemies.
Update 2011-07-23: Improved visibility of players and weapons. AI difficulty has been tweaked slightly and in Stage Mode we removed the "best of 3" condition - you now only need to win the stage once to advance to the next. When the new version comes online, a version number should show in the upper left corner.

Superfighters is all about little men shooting, stabbing, mashing, smashing, burning and blowing each other into tiny bits... and then doing it all over again!
The first thing you need to know about SF is this: IT AIN'T FAIR. It's not supposed to be fair. Player spawns are random. Weapon spawns are random. The objects that spawn on the map are random. Critical hits with guns are random. It's not about balanced competetive gameplay, it's about chaos. Complete and utter chaos. We ask that you keep that in mind and don't get angry if you have a bad first experience - the tables will turn. Thank you :)
* 1 and 2 player mode. Play co-op with a friend or try your best to murder him.
* 13 weapons and 4 maps.
* The spectacle is made more spectacular with Box2D physics.
* Pick up bullet time powerups for a boost in combat.
* Finish the Stage Mode to unlock a new player skin!
Special thanks to hzlancer and Chriss!
Enjoy!

A Lot Of Potential
This is by far one of the most advanced games online...at first. Once you get a few levels in it falls short.
For starters the shooting system is bad. It's just too bulky. WASD to move and mouse to shoot/hit would have been great, but the current system just takes way too much effort to aim.
The computers are unreasonably tough; they are not hindered by bad aiming and will always lock onto the nearest explosive and end you quickly. Speaking of which, it spawned me on quite a few, which was unfair.
What makes the game so cool, though, is the ability to punch enemies into pits or dive roll of buildings, but the map design hindered this as you'll end up to those dang barrels and explode often.
Overall the concept was the amazing but it lacked the oomph. I sincerly hope for a sequel of sorts that fixes this.

ehhh not quite
I agree with the people talking about balance issues. I don't think hit points or powers are dissimilar by any means, but the "realistic" points are inconsistent. You get set on fire, it doesn't go out and you die quickly, that's realistic; your enemy takes 20 assault rifle round and barely loses 1/3 of his hit points, that's grossly unrealistic. If you're going to make certain things insta-kills because that's what would happen in real life, then even the pistol should be a one-hit kill.

What I got out of this...
Is WAY, WAY too over-powered enemies, and too many controls. I hated playing this, it was fun and exciting at first, but 10 minutes later it sucked.

as you said...
i didn't really dig te unfairness thus, i stoped pla ying, call it a rage quit but you may be losing sweet gameplay by some things you put into the game, like the power up, you should've put something like a jump damage and such pwerup, a time slow powerupmakes the game even more anoying, also would you do me a favor and remove those freaking med kits? this is intended to be a constructive critic
