Classic top-down shooter with stat building and parts customization!
Multiple planets to see, weapons to collect, and big bosses to fight.
High scores and Medals available!

In the works since July 2010, the top-down shooter genre has been something I've always wanted to cover. Big thanks to Hyptosis and Kelwyshade for their art and music, otherwise I'd still be stuck with an unpolished engine. I think we ended up with a solid product, hope you enjoy!

The game itself seems like it would be fun, though a bit repetitive. I played a few levels, but I seem to be having a problem with the control not responding as they should. My ship sometimes doesn't move at all for several seconds, and other times it overshoots a direction when I just tapped the key. It's prevented me from passing even just level 1 several times. I finally managed to get it, though I had to miss many enemies because of the issue. I completed level 2 as well, but I think that's where I'll stop. Even replaying those levels and trying to upgrade my ship so this movement issue is less destructive isn't doing much. I still end up running directly into bullets and enemies.

It's okay, but the ship starts out way too slow even with the speed upgrades. Also there's like no grazing at all so there are parts that are impossible to dodge. Not bad though, I was playing with an arcade stick and it was fun, great music too.

It's good, but could be better. Take lessons from Tyrian 2000

Simplistic, yet elegant, this game is exactly what it needs to be. A well-crafted shoot-em-up with a competent difficulty curve and cool effects, nice progression elements, lots of fun to play. Much as I like games that push the envelope and do something new, I love a good old-fashioned Shmup.
