Classic top-down shooter with stat building and parts customization!
Multiple planets to see, weapons to collect, and big bosses to fight.
High scores and Medals available!

In the works since July 2010, the top-down shooter genre has been something I've always wanted to cover. Big thanks to Hyptosis and Kelwyshade for their art and music, otherwise I'd still be stuck with an unpolished engine. I think we ended up with a solid product, hope you enjoy!

It's terribly easy...

Need more bullets, simply... this is too basic of a shmup game, almost a shame to it.

You should add the bullet hell style like gigawing, etc...

I mean it was alright, and graphics were great, but too easy honestly.

Change difficulty or change weapons

I generally enjoy these games, but this isn't planned out very well.

Fountains of ships should not come from behind. There's no reason I should do better with four rear facing homing missiles, than four front, on any level, ever.

Homing missiles attack things which can not be attacked, making them less than effective on some levels.

The ship itself is remarkably sluggish considering the later levels seem to require much more speed. Further, the ship is friggin huge, making dodging impossible in many later levels. It really seems as if the whole game was designed around a small fast fighter, but instead you were given somebody's bloated frigate.

I was particularly annoyed with the 3rd boss, taking up the VAST majority of the screen, firing projectiles to move the player up, then raking the top of the screen. That might not have been an issue if that was the only time the tactic was deployed, but it starts becoming frequent thereafter. Push player to one side of the screen, warp 9 enemy comes out and rams player.

Unfortunately, I did my initial voting in world 2 of 4/5. By the end of world 4, it's down to 4/10 on the review. Sounds even to me.

Not bad but your ship is too damn big and too damn slow. There's also no real invincible period at all, you can just take a shitload of damage in seconds. Most annoyingly of all enemies just rush in out of nowhere at times leaving you absolutely no time to react and you're just forced to take damage, its a dick move. The last levels get retardedly hard, not in a fair challenge way, but a have no choice but to take a shitload of damage with absolutely positively no conceivable way to avoid it even with full upgrades way.

It's ok

Not very good.

If you want me to avoid bullets I need a smaller ship, with a smaller hit box... if you want me to fight, then there needs to be more enemies, that take less hits. Right now you have a game with giant ships and few enemies but lots of quick moving bullets. So I slugishly float around the screen trying to dodge tiny pink dots that move faster then I can ever dream of moving while being forced to shoot giant screen blocking enemies a hundred times in a row with six different weapons. It's too much. The game is difficult, but for the wrong reasons...

You need to focus your game on one main point. Is it about killing things before they kill you, or is it about avoiding bullets until you reach the end of the stage? Trying to do both just makes a difficult, clunky, unpolished game.

Also, why am I punished for replaying levels? Why lower the exp? Shouldn't you want people to come back and replay levels over and over and over again? Why discourage this? That's stupid. Instead, you should encourage it by giving out not only exp, but challenge awards. Like, beating each stage without getting hit or killing all of the enemies. You should never, ever, discourage a player from replaying your game.
