This game does a lot RIGHT!
Great graphics, fun retro sounds and music and a fun concept, but what I liked the MOST about this game was just how well thought out it was. The arrow keys above the character's heads were a great touch because I have to admit I was getting confused every now and then. The game is really unique with the vertical gameplay and you make sure that the player feels comfortable with it too. Most designers just throw players into the fray and expect them to adjust. There's real care at work here and it shows.
The other thing I liked was the focus on puzzles over platforming. Again, another mistake that game designers make when creating games like this is making the platforming difficult on top of solving puzzles.
Everything was just on spot with this game-- and I loved the characters to boot. Great job!
