Ummm
I't seems to me that this man is not fond of technology hence the book instead of computer and the fireplace but he has grown so lazy and bitter that he takes out his frustration on the very machines he relies on. I also believe something else is going on but I am having trouble wording it.
nope.
clue: this robot is expensive, and he used it the correct way, so he does have some degree of respect for the machine, knowing that he could have used it incorrectly, which would have caused it to be practical.

nice
the right way to use technology:mass repoduction of rebot slaughter machines to fight war that are powered by human blood
the wrong way:recycling
umm.... no
this has nothing to do with war
clue: this has NOTHING to do with war

My 2 cents
The robot was useless in performing its task - the only useful act it could do was dispose of itself. Either that or that it made itself usefull by making itself useless - since it was already usleless in perfoming its function - it could be useful to rener itself useless. Well yeah, that's my analysis.
um, your closer than most... but its not as complicated as addressing the true meaning of uselessness.
clue: its both about the roles of the robot and the human rather than just the robot.

Is it that easy?
Is your point of this to let people see that we underrate the technology that we have and that we use it like shit?
Well nice flash though. Really liked it.
nope, there's a much larger idea behind it.
clue: the title of the flash is no joke. he did use it correctly.
