One of the greatest games I've ever played.

I loved this games story, and the characters were very colorful and interesting. There is One question I have, however, for anyone who can answer it (SPOILER ALERT): Does everyone hate you in the end no matter what you do? I beat the shit out of Nate and now everyone thinks I'm a douche. And secondly, to GP Studios, is Dave imaginary or something? No-one notices him except you, he always seems to show up very conveniently, and when you mention him to Nate, he seems confused. My only other complaint is that, being American, some of the british sayings didn't really make sense to me. For example, I still have to idea what the fuck "Bangers and Mash" are (On the lunch and dinner menu). One last thing I don't understand is being able to continue playing. No one hates you anymore after you "Beat" the game, and everything seems normal, even after your "discovery" at the end. Is it supposed to be like that didn't happen? Other than that, I loved the audio/visual, great secrets, and hilarious characters.

GP-studios responds:

1. No matter what you do people will hate you after the Party.
2. Bangers and mash, is mashed potato and sausages.
3. We had to do that at the end of the game to allow people to go back and earn 100% completion. So yes in effect once you've completed it, it rolls back to before the party and everyone you talk to it is pre-party dialogue.
There wasn't really a better way to do it without having to create a whole new atmosphere and sort of continuing the game.
As Part 2 will start immediately where Part 1 ended, that wasn't something we thought we could do.

Thanks for your comments.

Just like the old times...

This game reminds me of BULLY which was a game made by Rockstar and also one of my most favourite games, so if this game reminds me of it why shouldnt it get a 10 . :D

Great game, shame about the pace...

It was a fun little game which got me hooked. It was quite humorous and interesting but a bit slow. Deserves a little bit more than than 4.17.

Voting cut into 4 parts:
Gameplay ?/10
Graphics ?/10
Sound (Can't vote on sound, see end of review)
Replay Value ?/5

Gameplay- 8/10
The game was quite simple at first, but gradually taught you anything you may need to know. The controls were simple and easy to understand with only move and interface. (Thank God for Auto-Run) The movement was a bit clunky and slow and proved a bit of a problem. The game felt like it dragged on a bit because of the slowness and animations like walking up stairs are fancy but useless. The speed 2x helped but should of been introduced earlier.

As for the game itself, it was fun. The humour made the slight repetition worth it and the minigames were a nice distraction. The Extras that are unlockable are, in one word, great. The side quests were alright. The minigames were FUN. Add more of them. There was a problem with the mini-map. If there was a quest letter on the floor above/below it should show the letter on the nearest door/stair case. The Piggymon collecting was fun. You should be able to save anywhere.

Graphics- 8/10
They were quite descriptive. Any of the props (for example: Trophy, Bursen Burner) were in the right places and easily distinguishable, even on low quality. Some of the NPCs on the other hand, looked quite similar. Not a good thing. They always seemed to look pissed off.

Replay Value- 4/5
After finishing the main quest, it is good how you could continue as if nothing happened. The Piggymon cards and the Extras make things fun to do for the 3rd time. Quite cute.

Sound Section was ignored because I turn the sound off for the whole game to listen to my own music. soz

Things to add for sequel:
-More lockpicking/dancing/minigames in general
-Piggymon card game if possible
-Improved Map
-Faster, Cleaner movement
-No stair animations plz

Results & 5 word Summary

Gameplay = 8
Graphics= 8
Replay Value= 4
