Story of the Blanks is a short creepypasta fangame created in Adobe Flash. It was created for a game developing contest at Equestria Gaming
( )

The game is constrained to use genuine NES graphics and graphical limitations (down to the very 8 sprites per line limitation). Most if not all the music in the game was created by various people using famitracker (a NES/famicon tracker).

The excellent music was made by

You rock, woohoo!

I loved it

It was creepy, and in it's own way scary, but it wasn't 'stop the game and take a breather' scary, which is perfect for chickenshits like me :P

I also enjoy 8-bit style games (which is why I play Minecraft regularly),instead of getting caught in the middle of a graphics war.

Overall,I enjoyed it.You oughta make more like this.

Outstanding and it left me wanting more!

This was absolutely a lot of fun. It was short and sweet and didn't over stay its welcome. The game's emphasis on storytelling rather than game play was very well done. A very well written tale modeled in a game format. I loved it! The entire 8-bit theme was just a bonus.

However, two things bugged me. During the dark scene in which a single dark pony chases you around, I found it frustrating that I had to start at the beginning of the scene. Maybe a save point between the 2 puzzles?

The only other thing that bugged me was I wanted to see more to have some answers but that's just me xD

Again, I applaud the emphasis on a story over game play. Short and sweet and all my friends also love this!

I (sort of) agree

10 for 10, definitely. I've always enjoyed 8-bit games more than current-age, but this one is by far one of my top favorites. An amazing plot with a twist.

Although, sonicboom24, I have to disagree... this is a little too creepy for the animators and designers to add into the show. As Rechi and Banditopants put it, "I'm officially freaked out" and "I shat bricks".

I'm curious, too... what's the lesson?
