Story of the Blanks is a short creepypasta fangame created in Adobe Flash. It was created for a game developing contest at Equestria Gaming
( http://www.equestriagaming.com/2011/06/creepypasta-game-contest.html )

The game is constrained to use genuine NES graphics and graphical limitations (down to the very 8 sprites per line limitation). Most if not all the music in the game was created by various people using famitracker (a NES/famicon tracker).

The excellent music was made by

I got a little mad....

I think there may be a glitch or something. The part where you have to push a rock to get away from the bad guy, as soon as I push through another bad guy gets to me before I can get out. But other than that I thought it was a good flash. Its was somewhat nostalgic. It kept reminding me of Excite Bike. Very good.

Donitz responds:

Hehe, well there is a little trick to getting past that section, other than being very lucky of course.

Man that was creepy! >.< Great job with the NES-style feel, you did a good job with that and creating a scary atmosphere. I would have liked to have seen a longer game and a deeper story; there were plenty of opportunities to further build on existing storyboard elements and continue on, but I cannot complain with what you have been able to deliver. Great job! ^_^
