Story of the Blanks is a short creepypasta fangame created in Adobe Flash. It was created for a game developing contest at Equestria Gaming
( http://www.equestriagaming.com/2011/06/creepypasta-game-contest.html )
The game is constrained to use genuine NES graphics and graphical limitations (down to the very 8 sprites per line limitation). Most if not all the music in the game was created by various people using famitracker (a NES/famicon tracker).
The excellent music was made by
You rock, woohoo!

Short but sweet
The 8-bit style actually made this kinda creepier than it normally would have been to me... It kind of reminded me of how easily scared I was as a child, which, now that I think of it, actually makes sense in this context.
A bit on the short side (Roughly 10 minutes), but it was time well spent. Because I know what I like, and I like nostalgia, horror, and ponies.
Even if you don't watch the show, you should still at least give this a try, if only to get a little insight into what the fandom is like. (Emphasis on a *little*. We aren't all seeking to grimdark everything up :P )
holy shitting dick nipples!!!
This game was like lavender town all over again, only 10x worse. I must admit, while a short game, I enjoyed playing it. Please for the love of (insert religious affiliation here) make more!!
Couldn't finish it because I have to go but...
That was horrifying.
This game was amazing, I was expecting some zalgo bullcrap like most 'scary/creepy' MLP games, but this was a different sort of creepy, with that town of blank flanks, and the resulting creepy ponies trying to keep her there and blank.
Though the fast pony did move a bit too fast, but after about 3 tries, I got past with ease by just making a b-line for the exit of the map. And at the exit of town, the sorta feel of being screwed just to find that one pony living with the regret and guilt save you. Though the skel-ponies, where easy to dodge and get around, which after that escape scene and it's difficulty felt a little /too/ easy.
I really hope you either do more with the game or make more games like these, this was just a brilliant game and no surprise it ended up on the front page.
halarious and completely unexpected. Holy wow. Scared me so much, running the hell out of there! Now I understand why they don't have cutie marks!! Run as fast as you can pony!! But I wonder what appleblooms cutie mark was? an apple?
