Working with the animation students at Brigham Young University has been a real treat. After much blood, sweat, and tears, we have finally completed Alight. We spent countless hours animating Sparker, the "fire boy," and Aquanna the "water girl," to get the effects and character animation looking just right. To us, they're almost real-life characters by now. We hope you enjoy this unique little piece of Flash animation, mixed with After Effects compositing.

Brilliant in its simplicity.

Just for the animation...

I give it 10 just for the animation, very, very well done. I do have to agree with Nero2525, by which I mean... story? I didn't really get a story at all from this, just 2 new beings that could not be together, but in the end melded to form a new one. Other than that, what was the giant robot palace walking around? Why were Sparker and Aquanna SO close, even though they had just met? And why did the building take human form after it was destroyed. I don't mean to nitpick, because it was truly beautiful animation (and music, as well), but I do like me a good storyline. Nonetheless, 10/10, 5/5. Well done!
