ABOUT THE GAME
=========================
Snailiad is an 8-bit-inspired game, which uses the NES palette most of the time, and uses NES music I wrote using Famitracker. I hope you enjoy it! :-) There's some references to eight-bit classics that helped inspire Snailiad, and you might also find a cameo or two from RPG Shooter: Starwish, if you play long enough.
Big thanks to:
AdamAtomic, for Flixel!
xdanond, for drawing some stuff!
newstarshipsmell, for lots of testing!
jsr, for Famitracker!
ABOUT SAVE DATA
=========================
Starting with Flash Player 10.3, Flash save data gets DELETED if you clear cookies or browser history. If you're having trouble with saves, this list might help:
1. Don't clear your cookies or history
2. Make sure the Flash Storage Settings say "Unlimited"
3. Make sure "private browsing" is OFF
4. Make sure "clear browser history on exit" is OFF
5. Make sure "block sites from setting any data" is OFF (for Chrome users)
6. Don't run a program that deletes stuff, like CCleaner or Better Privacy
FINDING 100% ITEMS
=========================
Once you defeat the final boss, you unlock the "radar"! The radar tells you how many items are left in the current area.
HIDDEN MODE
=========================
There's a hidden mode in Snailiad! Once you've unlocked it, it will be one of the choices in "NEW GAME", below EASY and NORMAL.
TROUBLESHOOTING
=========================
If you set your browser zoom below 100%, the bottom and right sides of the game will get cut off. Please make sure your zoom is at least 100%!

Thumbs Up
I have paid for downloadable games with less polish and with a shorter playlife than this one I just spent 3 hours in for free. Well done. I loved it. The powers and upgrades had me feeling like a bad ass at the end and It was the perfect pace and length.
Anyone that complains about the grav shell is too simple realize how amazing it is the flip gravity at your command or was to impatient to take the time to learn how to do it well. It can be overwhelming if you rush to finish the game before you learn how to tell which way is up. Take a few minutes to dick around in a safe but geometrically challenging area, meaning lots of right angles and quick flips.
If you're going into walls you did not find a glitch, you found a secret passage. Explore it, dopey.
IF YOU ARE HAVE TROUBLE FILLING YOUR MAPS OUT TO 100% I put mine up in my profile. Just click my name in this comment. Find the damn shells on your own though, I'm not holding your hand for a whole damn walkthrough.

An enjoyable game
I had no idea this could be so popular when the graphics don't look like that much. What matters is how much fun you have playing the game. I am still not able to get that far in this game, because it is a bit confusing. At least everything gets better when you get your pea shooter and manage to get rid of those enemies. Sadly, the black barbed guys are ones you can not kill. What's still cool is how you have a lot of mobility to go wherever you please.
It's fun to just slither around and listen to the neat music. It's especially great to have such a large environment for you to explore. You still could have made the graphics better, but that doesn't really matter much anymore. It was nice to have a map to show where you had been. The place is so massive I don't know where to head next.
