=========================

ABOUT THE GAME
=========================
Snailiad is an 8-bit-inspired game, which uses the NES palette most of the time, and uses NES music I wrote using Famitracker. I hope you enjoy it! :-) There's some references to eight-bit classics that helped inspire Snailiad, and you might also find a cameo or two from RPG Shooter: Starwish, if you play long enough.

Big thanks to:

AdamAtomic, for Flixel!
xdanond, for drawing some stuff!
newstarshipsmell, for lots of testing!
jsr, for Famitracker!

ABOUT SAVE DATA
=========================
Starting with Flash Player 10.3, Flash save data gets DELETED if you clear cookies or browser history. If you're having trouble with saves, this list might help:
1. Don't clear your cookies or history
2. Make sure the Flash Storage Settings say "Unlimited"
3. Make sure "private browsing" is OFF
4. Make sure "clear browser history on exit" is OFF
5. Make sure "block sites from setting any data" is OFF (for Chrome users)
6. Don't run a program that deletes stuff, like CCleaner or Better Privacy

FINDING 100% ITEMS
=========================
Once you defeat the final boss, you unlock the "radar"! The radar tells you how many items are left in the current area.

HIDDEN MODE
=========================
There's a hidden mode in Snailiad! Once you've unlocked it, it will be one of the choices in "NEW GAME", below EASY and NORMAL.

TROUBLESHOOTING
=========================
If you set your browser zoom below 100%, the bottom and right sides of the game will get cut off. Please make sure your zoom is at least 100%!

Poor Andy Yu

Kid never could catch a break. The And You everyone thanks at the end of their credits is actually Andy Yu, a game tester in the 80s who, due to a freak gaming accident, was electrocuted until dead. As a way to memorialize this man who had given his life to gaming back in the pioneer days, his names been put in the credits of every video game maker who remembers. Unfortunately they keep spelling his name wrong...

Yeah though, amazing game, I spend 3 fucking hours getting 100% completion (was much easier after beating Moon Snail) my only complaint honestly is that the medals don't seem to be working, I have 100% of the map and 100% of the items and won the good ending, yet I'm missing at least three of the medals that I should've got by now. I was missing four but refreshing and loading my game immediately got me 100% map completion medal. At least it SAYS I have all the items, maybe I'm wrong ? I don't know. Either way though, amazing game, totally worth staying on the computer for 3 hours straight to beat (I must've scoured the map twice for that last fragment, stupid in outer space ..."Do you think they put this room here on purpose?"ragmfragm...)

Good game

I notice you took a lot of things from Metroid 3 :)

Good game as a result though, but could have been slightly more original.
