NEW LESSONS EVERY MONDAY!

This week, we dive back into the Sacred Geometry pool to talk about spirals and sequences that all life strives towards, and at the end we look at the 2nd informational unraveling of the Fruit of Life.

You just failed a Rorschach test.

While this was well-animated and had a lot of pretty pictures, it was also chock-full of random absurdities and meaningless babble. Your line of reasoning basically seems to be 'There are a bunch of numbers, and if I draw pretty pictures with these proportions they create other proportions that are related, therefor magic'. Have you ever heard of a Rorshcach test? It's where people are shown randomly arranged inkblots and asked what they see. Of course, there is NOTHING THERE; the only thing the person sees is what they want to see.

The only part of this that seems to connect to non-mathematical reality is when you point out the repeated recurrence of the Fibonacci sequence in living things--but your explanation is all wrong. I've seen this bit of nonsense debunked before, by a professional embryologist named PZ Myers; it's not that living things are trying to imitate a divine number (that's crazy and stupid) but because of how cells differentiate in embryos. If you want to see a full explanation, with pictures to make it clearer, you can find it at his blog Pharyngula, under the title "Fodor and Piattelli-Palmarini get everything wrong". The blog post is about his response to a couple of unrelated authors, but he addresses the Fibonacci sequence about halfway down--just look for the pictures of side-by-side boxes.

"A patch of cells uses molecules to signal an adjacent patch of cells to differentiate into a structure, and then together they induce a larger adjacent patch, and together they induce an even larger patch...the pattern is a consequence of a mathematical property of a series expressed on a 2-dimensional sheet, but the actual explanation for why it recurs in nature is because it's what happens when patches of cells recruit adjacent cells in a temporal sequence."

JordanD responds:

Haha, it sounds like he's explaining how Fibonacci works without realizing that he's actually giving it merit. Yes, we can look at it in that point of view, doesn't mean life doesn't flow towards phi and get closer and closer to it. In fact, he's proving that theory right, by explaining how it works at a cellular level.

Blah.

I think it's great someone made a math flash, I'd like to see more like that. Too bad it's about sacred geometry though. I mean, at first it's pretty cool because you show interesting math and geometry facts, but then instead of proceeding to prove something, you somehow manage to tie a lame spiritual message to the math.
Also; Not every sequence whose ratios converge monotonically to phi is the Fibonacci sequence.

First off, the 8's for the animation and knowledge

I'm sure this is going to me voted as "useless", and I'm ok with that, as long as you consider a few things, despite their contradictions to your logic, I'm not trying to be insulting, really. You claim "these"/this shape and type of shape creation to be vastly important, however, I think you might be seeing more than there is, even if it actually IS there! You're logic has taken a shape, and managed to logically connect it to "almost" everything, but this doesn't mean this shape REALLY is affecting our "world" in any way. Just as the number one, just hold on and listen, just as one connects to two and three, and basically everything else, it isn't changing them or allowing unlimited knowledge about anything, one is a tool, something humans labeled to help create and expand our knowledge. Similar to the information you presented, these things are tools to understand, not exist as "pure knowledge sources of everything", if you will. Freak formations like those on Mars are EXACT proof of what I'm saying. THEY'RE ROCKS!!! You're thinking too much. Not everything that looks important, or that you can connect to other things that exist, no matter how many there may be, can give humans all the knowledge that exists...

To end, I'd also like to throw out there that I don't believe that infinity can be applied to everything. I have even been able to figure out some math(real, undeniable mathematical logic) that has forced me to to doubt even time's length. An example is pi, it has a beginning, but no end, and yet, can something like this exist in our world? We've proven matter has a limit to which it can be divided, are other things the same? Too small for our most accurate tools to pinpoint? Is pi exact, are we missing some form of crucial information no form of tool or math can give us, something only a god would have the power to test for? Please consider this, respond or vote. I'll take the rating I get as your ability to view things beyond their upper level, or those things you can loosely relate them to. Considering ALL possibilities will get you farther than any math will, but as I said, some questions( literally) can only be solved by a god..To end, I'd also like to throw out there that I don't believe that infinity can be applied to everything. JordanD responds:

In lesson 7 we discussed dimensions. Pi is an example of a number that is incomplete in our current dimension and level of understanding. We are missing knowledge of it, because we are not at a high enough level of consciousness.

I'm not sure

Being a mathematically though unreligious person, I follow your logic but as some have mentioned, not the conclusions. I think you make a few jumps that are a bit unrealistic, and as many have explained sometimes life just imitates math because of optimization. Math and sequences lead to very wasteless patterns, which nature through darwinism and advancement strives toward.

Still, it is a creative premise, you present you points well despite my disagreeing with them, and the video as a whole is enjoyable to watch.
