EDIT 3: Thanks for the frontpage, to many of you, the kind words and the constructive criticism! There's at least one major update still coming!
EDIT 2: Fixed the ending cutscene. Still to come: more detail for the Dresden area and some UI stuff to make the game more user-friendly.
EDIT: Fixed a bunch of bugs, including one that let you skip past most of the game content. We strongly recommend you retry the game now. More bugfixes and stuff on the way.

Listen:Billy Pilgrim has become unstuck in time.

This game was made for the Newgrounds Game Jam 5 contest. We had to make a game based on a work of literature in 72 hours. Naturally, our team chose to adopt Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse-Five.

Yep, this is unfinished and buggy. You can theoretically play from start to end, but expect visual bugs, a severely underdeveloped area, a non-functional inventory and a bugged ending cinematic. The game is in an unfinished state due to the over-ambitious idea and the exhaustion of me and the programmer near the end of the whole ordeal (45 hours without sleep are not fun).

We hope you manage to get some sort of enjoyement out of this! :)

Dude not cool.....

i like the idea of time travel but this..... is not how time travel should be....... it's confusing and the animations were so bad I thought I had accidentally toggled my graphicson low only to find it on high.... so next time I suggest focusing more on the graphics and gameplay and if need be forget the story line because if this is an example of a story driven game then I would rather suggest you create a senseless brawler

For one, the quality could be much better.

Also, There were glitches. Its unfinished so the glitching will not affect the score i give. It also has no meaning whatsoever. You are a lone man who must wander in areas mainly confined to a small task that is seemingly impossible to do after the first task of which takes a bit of travel through time. You just make it so indescribably hard to compose any way or form of me to tell you how bad this was. Overall, I like the one German Prisoner Camp's soundtrack. That really is all. Hoping to have more reassuring gameplay in the full version rather than meaningless wandering.

This game was bad, I liked the idea but found the concept hard and confusing and I kept hitting X insted of Z (and ending up in a differnet time).
I also got stuck early on in the game and gave up after half-an-hour of trying. Sorry guys but you should drop the concept and work together on a difernet project that is less confusing!

No, just no.

Massive slowdowns, bugs, and a nonfunctional game.

This has promise, LORD does it have promise. Please don't just give up on this. You obviously won't win the Jam, but do come back to this later and fix it up, it's a neat game.
