stupid game thats so diffucult
What the fuck is this laggy shit im playing. It actually went faster with a higher quality setting than a lower setting. The graphics where shit and it was still laggy as hell. Congrats on making a steaming pile of dog shit for a game. 2 stars because the title has the word dick it in. Which is exactly what i'd rather be playing with.
why does jumping on the whale do damage to you?
Old School Genius
This does remind me of those games of old that were bleedin impossible, until you realised that the bosses routines could be avoided with the right timing.
It reminded me of old bosses of Sonic games, and also, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for the NES, most though. My desk used to have teeth marks because of those games :-P.
Just need to get the half health medal now! :D
I know it's called Ahab's STRUGGLE, but...
It's not very well made, I'm afraid.
Graphics are alright, and I did like Ahab's voice for the various quotes.
Those're the good points.
Now, the problems:
The controls are horrendously sluggish. Yeah, you're a sea captain jumping on the wrecked remnants of a ship, but it just feels dreadful.
The point of having a game with "challenge" is to make the challenge rewarding.
This brings me to my next point:
Not enough attack power from Ahab: too much defense/HP on the White Whale.
You want to emphasize the challenge of fighting a giant whale with an insane ship captain? Fine.
Do it in ways other than adding a "0" at the end of the HP values for the Whale.
Or give it weak points or something, like having it do more damage when you throw the spears into the mouth.
It was also sometimes difficult to dodge the Whale's attacks, especially considering how badly telegraphed some attacks were.
It feels like a joyless grind rather than an epic struggle against a force of nature.
Go back to the drawing board and make this better.
A game about people and their reflections
Pure minimalist puzzle game about solving spatial issues
Short visual novel about a mysterious girl hiding a dark secret
