A good beginning
I liked it, but I have some suggestions that I feel could make it much more enjoyable.
-Being able to throw spears while jumping
-Moby should not be invulnerable while attacking
-Spiked platforms maybe a bit too common, as they often make taking damage unavoidable when combined with another attack
That said, I don't think it is too tough. The battle is supposed to be the ultimate moment of Ahab's life, I think you are correct to err on the side of difficulty!

bad game
controls are good but movement is slow and unresponsive. Sometimes it's virtually impossible to see where the whale will land or even dodge the whale. You can't even attack the whale because it goes so fast, it needed some point of opening itself up for damage. This is just an unplayable game.

Stupid Cheatin Whale
I beat it on my second try, but the game has some serious issues. The way the captain jumps is messes up, way too much hang time, you cant throw spears while you are jumping and when the whale spits water it seems to last forever. Plus when he's trying to eat you and there is water falling and there are spike logs its almost impossible not to get hurt.

Well
My big problem was that the Whale hardly ever telegraphs it's attacks. The only thing that is made clear is when he's sucking in the water. But I died the second time, because the whale was off the screen, and he rammed me. How would I know to dodge something I couldn't see? It might have just been better if it had been a single framed shot with the planks changing. However I will give points for the style/presentation. The game looks amazing, and the voice acting and music really add to it.
