Author Comments

This is my submission for the Game Jam 5. It is based off of the Sci-Fi novel Ender's Game by: Orson Scott Card.
I tried a new (i think) style of game play that i think brings a new challenge to the table.
You control your players with four sets of controls:
Player(s) 1:
(W:up (S: down) (A:left) (D: right) [1: (fire 1)] [2: (fire 2)]
Player(s) 2:
(I:up) (K: down )(J:left) (L: right ) (Space: Fire)
Player(s) 3:
(Up Arrow:up) (Down arrow: down) (Left Arrow:left) (Right Arrow: right ) (Back Slash: Fire)
Player(s) 4:
(Num 8: up) (Num 5: down) (Num 4: left) (Num 6: right) (Num Zero: fire)
I've worked alot this weekend and i hope you like it.
I forgot to mention that there are 2 easter eggs.
Also, I noticed that when you click the button to start, you have to click on the screen again, or you won't be able to move.

You gamers are awesome! I was inspired to support other players playing this game because of the way each player is supporting eachother on this page (we are each getting better together).

First, an offensive strategy(once you master the controls, the game becomes engaging, challenging, and addicting).

1.Click
2.Hold both center fingers on the D and L button (to quickly mobilize players to change shots).
3.Hold a left center finger on the 1 button, a left index finger on the 2 button, a right index finger on the 0 button, and the right thumb on the back slash ( / ) button. This will allow for a large amount of rapid fire to commence at once.
3.The battle afterward will begin immediately, so think over any strategies before going to the gates.
4. After the battle is over, mobilize the correct amount of players to the gates.
5.Repeat for battles 2 and 3.
6.The Formic Wars allow for a barrier to protect your ships until movement, so plan a strategy to navigate around the ships for an attack.

If any player is having difficulty following this strategy, please post a review, in order for me to give more direct advice. As soon as I defeat the Formic War levels, I will provide strategy for defeating them.
This game is unique because it provides an extremely challenging environment, while still being winnable. It allows for exploring strategy, and it provided a new challenge at every turn.

The enemy's base is downward

10 just because of de book

shrimpchris responds:

They chose to percieve it as down, but it could have been any direction they chose for it to be since there was no gravity. Thanks for the 10!

I actually liked it.

The game was a little difficult to figure out. Then again I dont like to read instructions. I liked how you implemented the game from the book and made it into an amazing flash game. People might think im crazy and let them. But I think you did a great job with this. It needs a few tweaks for some of the game play. The music was a real nice touch with this game it fit really nice. Something I would have thought of playing in the book. Anyway Ill stop talking away. Hope you can make something even better nect time
