Amazing
That was an beautifully made game, the art, the combat, the upgrading, the music and the story. It all fit together nicely, though some of the story and talking were rather long for my liking, especially in the beginning.
I liked how you could upgrade you ship and level up in your own way, not being restricted to one type of battle. As well as the seemingly endless supply of upgrades on hand.
The music was very fitting and well made as well as helping to fit the atmosphere and improve the impact of certain scenes.
The only fault I can see in this game is in your Author Comments, saying that it is a Dating Sim. I did not see this as much of a Dating sim, as you could never ask user choice questions to romantic interest, or give gifts or find out how far in a relationship you were with someone.
The main character kinda seemed to be a "playa" as whenever I hung out with the female characters he seemed to get infatuated with all of them. Though this doesn't hinder the game that much, I wouldn't give it the description or genre of a Dating Sim.
Overall, this was an amazing game with very little faults. A good Long game, especially if your not looking for a 10min game.

Epic.
Ill start off with the only thing not awesome about it i guess, the in-battle graphics and stuff wasnt super awesome, not bad, but nothing really that outstanding.
Now with the other stuff: the upgrade system was nice, only thing i woulda liked in addition is if i could always somehow upgrade stuff i had ;-; (didnt even see a wave cannon thingy till about 4 levels after deadeye researched it) but it was still a great upgrade system for a flash game
The story was... just... mind-blowingly awesome. In my opinion, this rivals and may beat the epic battle fantasy series (person to person opinion of course, i personally couldnt say which i like better) for the best story for any flash game out there, all the characters were great, lots of plot twists and surprises; the story is probly what kept me hooked on to this game, and the ending was enjoyable.
So... suggestions from me would include... well, better graphics in the game if possible, maybe tweak the upgrading system a little, to make it so you can upgrade some weapons more easily so you dont have to rely on chancing by them which is a little bit of a problem late game (although it does add a fairly unique aspect to the game), the module system is a nice feature though, liked it cause it kept people from just buying a billion of them and becoming practically invulnerable. Also the cafe thing was a nice feature but i might have liked to have had a little control in the conversations where it wouldnt directly interfere with the plot, since the description says dating sim.
So, without further adieu,
MOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRR.

Breathtaking
Starwish is easily the best and most finished flash game I've ever played. The shooter part alone could make for selling, but with the story which like I have not seen since Baldur's Gate the game simply makes my body ache and my heart beat uncontrollably.
At first, I wanted to be able to make more decisions, to be able to change the story. Later on, I would hope that I didn't have to choose sides in a war that had been going on for an eternity. I actually can't believe that a certain person died. I won't tell you who, but until the end I still expecting her to come back.
The girls in the game, as opposed to dating sims, have own personalities and are all quite lovable. The same goes for male characters.
I know it's silly to say this, but some of the philosophy in this game (particularly the ending) influenced me to change my life for the better >.>
Frankly, I know I'm going to play this game again. Thank you for making this, keep it up.
Thank you very much for your praise! That certain someone might still be out there ;)

Stunning
I have had this game up for the second day in a row now, playing through. I reset to write this review (I was fighting Iblis' head). You have created a truly deep flash shooter and I admire you for it, however there were a few things I'd recommend improving on.
I could barely see anything in half your maps. Everything was just too small and blended in too well. A few times I died because I didn't even realize something was an obstacle until it was too late. My suggestion here is to possibly enlarge your whole game window/game a bit so things aren't so hard to see (especially laser fire).
As mentioned before, this game got rather repetitive .... several solutions here are making EVERY boss different, not just a different boss for each type of terrain. I'd have loved to see new/different bosses at the end of each level. I loved the story behind the whole game, but perhaps make it slightly more interactive during dialogues or add some more features to the bridge (perhaps instead of clicking on several bars you could have an elevator or room to use to select different destinations within the Mothership .... gives a chance to show new/different graphics and it adds more interaction within the game.
Characters .... you seemed to have developed them pretty well, I'd only suggest that perhaps it should be possible to talk to EVERYone when in the cafeteria instead of just 2 people, OR making it so you can (using the elevator or w/e system described above) go visit them in their quarters or workplaces for some more conversation.
Weapons ..... you had an interesting system here and I honeslty enjoyed it. I found that the most useful weapon was #3 laser but oftentimes the Wave Cannon could come in handy. I did feel that the weapons seems rather unbalanced for what they were and didn't offer as much versatility as they could have if they weren't so divided in power. (Attack powers and such were just to far from equal to make the weapons more feasibly usable in my opinion)
Ships ..... Why not integrate a system so you can upgrade your ship or build something different? I like the mods and think that is a good system to keep (though there were far to many options to try and utilize them successfully) it would be nice to have different ships to choose from or purchase for use. And it'd be awesome to at least SEE Mare's ship instead of hearing about it all the time.
I'm sure I could come up with more but you get the gist. Amazing game and congratulations on something so very well put together. I hope you win the contest if this was made for Game Jam and if not you still deserve Kudo's for a job tremendously well done.
