that part when the door was left open was exactly like me. Except a creeper just waltzed in when I finally made an enchanted diamond pickaxe. Ever since then, i murder creepers using TNT to see how they like it.

One word. Respawning. No one ever seems to include that you respawn when a creeper gets you, and that most of you're stuff's sitting in the hole.
