Enjoy a sport that has been the pass-time of kings, hunters and warriors for 4000 years!

George Plimpton's Video Falconry was brought to our attention by the Judge John Hodgman podcast. Originally made for the Colecovision in 1983, we've gone to great lengths to painstakingly port one of the few existing copies.

Controls

1 - Yaw
2 - Pitch
3 - Claw Grab
4 - Beak Grab
5 - Flap
6 - DoubleFlap
7 - Claw

Happy Falconing!

Cheese 80's

I just love that cheesy falcon sound. At first I thought the game was a parody of 80's games, but then I saw it was an almost pixel perfect conversion of a real 80's game.

Unfortunately the game itself gets somewhat boring fast, but the conversion, music and art is good.

Ummmmm.....

I enjoyed the game, but i didn't get most of it. Everything was alright, but the minigames were kinda hard to follow. It took me 5 tries to understand that the "Joystick" were actually the arrow keys. Good, well done, but make it clear next time. I know you had to import it but you could've put it under the controls.

I like it

I like the nostalgia, I think it is a fun game for a little while, but like the video at the beginning says, the controls should have been changed because they are confusing.

The game is challenging but simple to understand

However, this game could have been alot better, you stuck closely to the original but what you should have done was revamp it with new moves and enemies.

New moves could be:

Rape mode - you rape everything in your path but it only lasts a little while

Falcon Punch - you punch your enemies in the face and send them flying at other enemies. (kind of like pool)

Ground pound - when you toggle ground or air it will eventually be upgraded to an area attack on ground enemies so using your claw or beak is unecessary.

New enemies:

Turtle Soup - a giant bowl of turtles, you have to grab them when they float to the top but beware, they will jump up and snap onto you giving you damage every second

Bizarro Plimlpton - he's and evil version of George Plimpton that wil chase after the falcon and rip it in half if he is under you. (he is unbeatable, just an obstacle)

T-rex - basically its just a T-rex and you have to hit it multiple times in the back of the head, hitting it from the front will get you eaten.

And possible an extra defense mode where you have to protect Plimpton from zombie bunnies.

Please consider these ideas if you are to make a sequel, and i enjoyed listening to the soundtrack while writing this.
