Medieval Sniper is a sniper game where you need to complete medieval missions.
Mouse to shoot.
Good game, sometimes hard to figure out what you're supposed to shoot, but not too difficult with careful thought. Also, for 6th mission, you might wanna block the archer's sight if you know what I mean. As for crusaders, they were known as _____ soldiers, so they often had a _____ on their shields and chest plates.
It's a good game, but not the best in this category.
Instructions could be more descriptive, we should probably see an arrow to make sure we hit the guy, and the crosshair has a delay in following the mouse.
I thought it was really fun. A great execution of the concept. I do agree with tjardo on that the controls do feel a bit 'sloppy' or laggy. However, I also feel this kind of suits with the type of game it is, and the era. It gives it all a certain vibe and it works for me, though I can see why it may not work for others. I do see how some people may not get the 'crusader' part, and for those who don't know you may want to put somewhere that they need to shoot the guys with the crosses on them. I also really liked the puzzle levels, I thought it was a nice touch.
I think it would be nice if we could select levels to go back and replay (either to get a better score, or just because we enjoyed playing it. I also think it would rock if you made a sequel to this that was longer and got a bit more difficult (or more puzzles) towards the end. This was pretty easy when you understood the objective of each level. And lastly, there seems to be an absolute high score, eventually the high score board will get clogged with a single max high score, you may want to consider adding more variables to the score to make it more difficult for that to happen.
Overall it was great fun, much better than I expect going into it. And well deserving of 4/5 9/10. Keep up the good work.
..but the aiming and shooting system is kinda sloppy. It feels as if there's a delay, the recoil is unnatural and you don't get any feedback of where you shoot (like seeing an actual arrow being fired away or something), you only know whether you missed or hit your target. Besides that it's kinda annoying that the crosshair has a delay in following your mouse movement.
Also, WHICH crusaders am I supposed to shoot? I keep failing the mission because I apparently hit the wrong guys every time (and I won't bother to check out the walkthrough for this). It should be made clear.
I like the idea but this needs some improvement.
