This is the first game I created for a website I have with friends. It was based on a tutorial I've found, which I customised a lot!
Not bad for a start.
I gotta agree with Cam, this game is FAR too easy, but for a first game it's not too shabby. The directions work, hit detection seems good, so on a technical standpoint, it's a good game.
You problem lies in how basic it is. For one, there doesn't seem to be any diagonal movement, and since there's no gems coming in from behind, there's really no reason for the player to move horizontally anyway. The shots come out far too quickly, and the gems take only one hit to kill, so basically all you have to do is hold the Space bar down and weave vertically as needed to create a literal wall of death, which shouldn't be something possible in any game unless it's some special power-up. Enemies never upgrade, only having changes in horizontal and vertical speed and vertical direction, and as I said before, only have one hit point, so it's too easy to avoid them and predict their movement. My suggestions would be:
- Slow down how quickly the shot repeats and speed the bullets up slightly so that it's possible to miss. It might also be nice to see multiple types of weapons.
- Have the gems upgrade in strength, either by putting multiple levels in the game or having them upgrade based on the player's score.
- Add in gems that come at you from behind to give the player incentive to move left and right. Adding in gems that come at you from the top or bottom would be a good idea as well.
- Allow the ship to move diagonally.

I released this game even though it is so easy, so I can monitor if people like it, to gather reviews like yours etc.
In my mind I have lot's of improvements (such as move diagonally, gems poping from all directions, music, a never-ending level which as it progresses it will become more difficult, and make the bullets a little bit more realistic as in the direction they are going, weapon upgrades, gems that are counter-shooting, bombs and other stuff like these).
As for the repetition of the bullets, I'm thinking a reload key or a random delay between 2 shots, or something like that, so the user will have to think twice to keep pressing the key without leaving it.

ok this game has to MUCH room for improvement no sounds no backgrounds and plus clicking shoot button and going up and down makes this game very easy and plus a space ship and gems dont go together so... 1/10 ~~~~~MASTERCAM OUT!

This point has just invalidated your review to me. Yeap, it's an easy game. Yeap, it has too much room for improvements and other stuff.
I could add instead of gems, bad guys in ships, but I didn't, because there are far too many games "good vs bad guy". So, if having something different is bad for you, then I'm sorry.
