UPDATE: New revision coming June 6, 2011 with rebalanced gameplay, voice acting, additional moves, and revamped controls!

Well then, it has been five years since I've uploaded my first real Flash submission to Newgrounds back in 2006. The one in 2005 was originally a Macromedia Director video ported to Flash.

Inspired by the Marvel vs. Capcom series, I try to recreate some aspects of the gameplay, primarily the swapping aspect. Talking about inspiration, the concept for this anime-theme game actually came from reading the news that HyperDimensional Neptunia was slated for a US release and I was like "WTF?!". Of course the game is already out, and no I haven't played it since I don't have a PS3. Maybe the thought of the game rubbed off on me, since some of the characters I made for this are either named after something relating to video games (Rosalina's full name is "Rosalina Daisy Peachtree" for example, the catgirl's name is "Calico Vision". First one should be obvious, the second, not so much.).

The game also mirrors what happened in my first three "MaidRouser CAPTIVATE" submissions and they've changed with the three boss battles here.

Until then, just enjoy the game. Oh yeah, don't let the "Beta/Tech Demo/Whatever" bit scare you, it's a playable build.

Simple, but Nice

I agree with Sadist, it wasn't bad, had the basic foundation and fundamentals down, they just need some fine tuning. Movement felt pretty rough and slow as well as did the attacks, speeding it up a bit would bring up the adrenaline. Once Evil Peachtree showed up, it got interesting rather then shooting immobile enemies. I think some more boss like enemies will make this game more exciting. And again going with Sadist, upping the difficulty.

The sound and music worked well, though Revy's special nearly blew out my speakers. Speaking of her special I encountered a bug whilst fighting Peachtree, Revy's special stopped appearing though I still dealt damage. Graphics were alright, a level of shading would've made it livelier.

You should release flash more often, who knows how crazy your games would improve if you keep steadily producing content. Till then.

Aye, that's an odd glitch. Sounds like it may have skipped the frame where it suppose to tell it appear. (The hitbox is seperate from the actual graphic.)

The balancing will be changed to amp up the difficulty, and I'll be making new models to make it more animated.

has potential.

This wasn't too bad and it has a lot of potential, but it was also really easy. Knock the difficulty up a little and this could be really fun to play. Keep up the good work.
