UPDATE: Front page! Woo! Also, I noticed some confusion about TOFA. Yes, it is INDEED a REAL TOURNAMENT, happening right now on Newgrounds! You can view it here: http://tofa.newgrounds.co m/

Dear future Dave, next TOFA entry, try not to make it too dialogue centric!

This is my entry to the Newgrounds Tournament of Flash Animators (TOFA) 2011 Open Round. The theme was to "Create a Game Show" and I only had 3 weeks to do this (it was actually only 2 weeks for me because I kind of goofed off the first week.)

This was based off of a movie my three friends, Matt, Ty and Mike made back in High School called "Amateur Film" where Tom, my twin brother, left to go do something, and my friends were bored and wanted to make a movie, so they kept pitching ideas for a movie, and each pitch would get a little cut away scene that would show why that kind of movie cant (or shouldn't) be done. I personally thought it was pure genius, but I wasn't a part of it! So when I saw this TOFA theme come up, I thought that I could make the spiritual successor to it by making this idea.

All roles have been reprized, just the setting is different. I hope you enjoy!

This is how network television really makes shows

Believe it or not, it seems people like this in real life are making reality TV shows these days.

The animation and voice acting were all superb.

The only weakness is the recording style, or the voice recording equipment itself it appears. Vocal placement seemed a bit distanced away from the microphone.

I'm mixed on this.

It feels like something I should like but there are a lot of obstacles keeping me from enjoying it.
for example, all the things that should of been funny feel to me like somebody telling a joke and it feels like it's going to be hilarious as it leads up tot he punchline, and the punchline ends up being awful and it makes you feel worse than when you were initially being told the joke.
The animation was really fluid, it had the essence of Superjail's new animation so that's good, but the backgrounds just ruined it for me. They contrast way too much with the art style in my opinion.
The sound quality wasn't the worst I've heard, it could be better but it wasn't bad enough to need focused improvement.
Overall, it was good but it wasn't Runner-Up good. I'd like to see more of your work however, I feel like this hasn't reached it's fullest potential and would be better as a web series or comic series.
