underwhelming
I agree with those below me who give appropriately low reviews to this. Am I just blindly going to give you a 10? No. Am I just blindly going to give you a 0 though? No. Since you put thought in this game, I will put thought into this review: Ok, unlike the first few games in the series, which had interesting subject matter and weren't really adhering to anything specific, the subject matter for this is kind of stupid. I don't know how long it took you to make this, but jokes about lady gaga and facebook? Seriously? The humor is very stale and dated, if this had come out a year ago it could have been funnier, but a lot of the jokes are just late. There just wasn't stuff in this game that I care about. What pissed me off is also the fact that every level is the same, and every level is annoying. World turning in the first level? You see the same thing in at least 5 levels. Spikes in the rainbow level? Also in the ipad level, etc. Every level I played through is exactly the same thing, I don't really want to run through turning rooms and spikes the whole game, it just looses the meaning. It is true I did not get through the ipad level, because there is one part where I just can't get through, but the other games were not this hard. This used up too much of my thought on "how do I beat this level?" and not enough of my thought on why some of it could be funny.
In short, this was highly over thought and misses a lot of wit, charm, and sarcasm that made your other games fun. If I actually wanted to play a difficult platformer game, I wouldn't necessarily ask for a psychological breakdown of mainstream society's obsession with certain things, thus explaining, in my mind, why I gave this the score I did.

The Worst Game in the Series
After playing :The Game: and :Replaying the Game:, I have come to love the series and its humor. Now that I've played the 3rd game in the series, I have been let down. The trademark humor of :The Game: is completely absent. It seems as if you almost entirely relied on either: a) Rage/Troll Faces. b) Memes. c) Pop culture. Part of the awesomeness from the first two was the original, outside-the-box humor, which as I said before, is not present in this game.
Now, on to the gameplay...
The most enjoyable parts of this game were the times when you did something original. For example, the Rainbow Double Jump, Super Meat Dress, Apple-Ture Science, BP Oil Spill, and LOST levels were all easily my favorites because they added something to the original :Game: formula. At times, the gameplay was unbearable. We're not just talking bad, we're talking un-believable in its difficulty.
With all of these flaws and few shining strong points, I agree with SleepingSheep in saying that this is unworthy of front page status.

This could've been a nice game, but the physics from the first game were used for this game, and that game's physics is not meant for a game like this, mostly because the first game's physics were meant for jumping off a platform instead of a platforming game. Sometimes, the game was awkward to control, especially in the double rainbow level, and quite a bit of the jokes fell flat. If only the physics problem was gone, this would've been a decent game. If there is ever a sequel to this game, I would suggest it to be like "REPLAYING :the game:. That is only my opinion, however.
