One day, while you're testing a level for a developer friend of yours, you accidentally discover a hidden world inside the game. Alphaland is the story of exploring that world.
Arrow keys or WASD to move
Up/W/X/Space to jump
[Alphaland is a minimalistic platformer. It's pretty straightforward to play, so I'd rather not say too much and let you explore it yourselves. I hope you enjoy it!]
At first i didn't see what all the fuss was about when i first looked at this game. But, as usual, A simple looking game has really surprised me. Although simple, it was challenging and puzzling.
This reminds me of when i was little and played bionic commando on the amiga, on one spot you could jump off screen into a totallt randomized world that you could sidescroll a while until it became impassable or became too much nothing that you fell down and died. All my internets to you!
Although the concept of the "game" attaining self awareness is nothing new (even the idea of it being a game isn't new, thanks to .Hack), this was a very compelling game. I had no idea what I was doing and yet, I knew exactly what to do, it's hard to explain. I at first thought that the game was going to turn evil (self awareness, bugs everywhere, can you blame me?) but it surprised me that it was simply learning it's true existence. Or maybe it's because of all of the bug smashing you do at the end that makes it not want to kill you... I don't know. The game will gain a 10 from me, I think you met your target audience well enough.
Feels good man
Such a great concept/feel for a game-- I love the growing awareness of the system; super great all around.
I have to say I feel bad for the people that didn't really feel this-- poor taste there ;3
Love your idea. I actually wished for more but it's cool
ending was also great
Physics platformer with time-portals. One place - two times and different level geometry.
