One day, while you're testing a level for a developer friend of yours, you accidentally discover a hidden world inside the game. Alphaland is the story of exploring that world.

Arrow keys or WASD to move
Up/W/X/Space to jump

[Alphaland is a minimalistic platformer. It's pretty straightforward to play, so I'd rather not say too much and let you explore it yourselves. I hope you enjoy it!]

not too much fun

Just giving this a 5 cause it killed some time when i needet it ._.

I wouldnt say i hate those "find the true identity of your character and read random pseudo philosophic sentences the whole time" games, but its not the base i would place a game on.
The "music" and the pointless whispering in background almost made me close the window, but i wanted the medals...

Simply amazing.

This game simply put was riviting, it kept me glued to my seat trying to decipher all the little half sentances that i saw, people seldom relize that complicated isn't always better, I myself am a big fan of these minimallistic games and find them quite enjoyable. SO kudos to you two for creating this game. You should be proud that this game has turned out so many good reviews. Kepp up the good work!

Kinda reminds me of metroid.

Y'know because of the items you get. The bugs look like metroids, too.

What a strange feeling...

This game looked like bullshit to me at first. But I overcame through my first impression and played some time. I couldn't have been more wrong abotu this game. It is not only a small pixel plateform game. This game as a deep story and brought the player to feel something that I cannot describe. The music is awesome and the game wouldn't be very good without it.

I will look forward for the other game of the developers.

Hell games as art argument, how you doin?

This is definitely one of the most inventive games I've ever played here. The minimalist graphics set a good tone for it, and the ambient music made the game very haunting. I never thought a game about a block jumping around a nearly featureless environment could end up being an art piece musing on mortality and existence, but welp, there it is. This game, simple as it is, is definitely something to be considered for the "games as art" argument.

Most of the low scoring reviewers don't "get it" and that's unfortunate. I won't say it's the deepest piece of art out there, but there's some substance to this. I also found the lack of handholding to be a good quality; I only found myself stuck at one moment and that was easy enough to overcome just through fooling around for a minute. You've got a nice statement here.
