EDIT (05/02/2011) : Slowdown issues should be fixed. If you have a slower computer, I highly suggest you crank the quality down a notch!
After 5 years of hard work (which includes 4 years and 11 months of half-assed attemptsatf opening up Flash again), here is the follow-up to my 2006 Pico Day submission.
By the way, if you haven't seen part 1 yet, you really should, or else you will not understand some of the jokes in this movie :
After Trying to kill Tom Fulp for a second time in 2006, Pico finally faces a jury of his peers. Sadly for him, he will also have to face his victim and, more importantly, his greatest nemesis.
Enjoy and happy Pico Day 2011!
That McFish dude looks like a dude I know in real life and they even sound similar.
hell yeah kill him
As a voice artist
The girl was way too close to the mic. Way too much sibilance and I'd recommend reading up on basic microphone techniques. Hope I helped :)
Otherwise I'd say the animation iss good, but I did not understand the references of this content.
I remember seeing this way back when it originally came out. Had no idea a sequel was in the works this entire time. And I gotta say, after all these years (lol) I expected much more improvements than what we got. While some jokes were solid and pretty funny there was just WAY to much dead space. Someone talks.... talk..... talk...... joke. The slow pace made the entire thing feel really awkward, it really needed to be a lot tighter and less uncomfortable. Also, being apparently originally written from way back when, some jokes and references aren't just funny and are more groan-inducing.
The voice actors though did a steller job, don't remember the last time I saw Rina, Edwyn, and Tamtu together. I felt you needed one more actor though to take some of the roles, Edwyn was everywhere! And I'm disappointed to see your animation skills has really no noticeable improvements. It's like being in '06 all over again.
Pretty mediocre sequel overall, I believe after 5 years you could've periodically reread the script and rewrote it to be more fitting with the times. Or atleast notice the dead spots while rewatching it. Alas, another time, I just hope it won't take another 5 years for you to take another shot.
You got to understand two things. First, I began the animation back in 2006 and I didn't want to start from scratch when I decided to finish it this year. Second, this is my first flash in 4 years, so it kinda makes sense that my style hasn't evolved much.
As for the pace, I actually wanted it slow that way. I know it may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I mostly wanted to parody court dramas like "A Few Good Men" and "The People vs Larry Flint".
But thanks for the review anyway, constructive criticism is always welcomed :)
It was all forced humour
Voice acting was rather poor.
Animation was good, all the 5s go to animation.
But I didn't laugh a single time.
The world of Greasy Moose is filled with all sorts of odd characters.
A quirky show that happens to include a duck.
Hardcore bunny killing action.
