(This game is now available on Android for free! Find it on Google Play under 'Spike: A Love Story'.)
(And for you medal-grinders out there, you can press ESC to restart!)
It's not easy being a spike-trap. By design, players are supposed to get by you without TOO much trouble. But you just can't do that. After years of seeing the same guy running by, over and over, day after day -- you realize you're in love. Unfortunately, the only means by which you can express this love is by showing him how good you are at crushing him into a tasty broth. Someday, you're sure, he'll get the hint.
This game was made with the wonderful Flashpunk, which made the nightmare of making this a lot less nightmarish, and more of a restless bad dream.
PROTIPS: Be patient. Wait for the right moment to strike! It takes a second or two to reset yourself, and in that time he can escape! Unless there's a powerup he'll never just run straight through.

I really like the idea of the player being the cliche trap.
Would be nice if you were able to upgrade (maybe add mobility) or customize your looks.
Maybe you could also add the ability to play as other well known traps,
like a trap door which has deadly spikes below it or maybe a fire trap.
Also it would be nice to have more heroes/noobs/gold farmers and the likes to get into an unfortunate "accident".

Hope you can use these tips.
Keep up the good job.

this game sucks

people run so fast in the game that they're nearly unkillable and why does the banana peel increase their speed at least make fair tricks and better yet why have the tricks why have these tricks. Not to mention IT TAKES FOREVER TO GET BACK UP I mean honestly he's not a thwomp and also it's really hard and the funniest part is the game over screen also what does love have to do with anything this game overall needs LOTS OF IMPROVEMENT better luck next time.

A personal concept implemented with style!

It's a very fresh idea that the traditional player and foe kind of change places. We've seen games where you play on the bad guys' side (like Dungen Keeper), but in a way this is more than that: taking the role of a simple foe. The antics of the "players" are done with style, which keeps the interest for the duration of the "story" mode. The game is definitely very engaging considering that you only have one button to control and (unlike in One button Bob) there is also only one action for that button. All this considered, this game deserves to be mentioned.

However, there are a couple of buts:

- The downside is that it still gets old quite fast. Just pressing one button still doesn't give a long lasting interest towards the game. One Button Bob with its different actions for the key makes it have a more long-lasting appeal.

- Even taking into account that this is meant to be just a simple little game, there is one thing that could be improved. Currently there are three ways to get past the hardest stages: with phenomenal if not supernatural reflexes, good luck or memorizing the movements. The third one's the issue here. It would be more fun if you would need a bit less phenomenal reflexes in general, but the actions of the characters would be more randomized.
