This Demo Reel was made for my college animation business class, and includes a little bit of everything I've done mostly over the past year. I do not own buckethead, or Eddy Vanhalen, and music is infinity by ParagonX9. Hope you enjoy! and thanks for the upload raise Tom :)

As a demo piece, something without any story or real entertainment behind it, one would expect something this highly rated to be technically proficient, remarkably well animated. This is, however, not, and mainly consists of simple character tweens and pixellated drawings. I was not impressed, and do not feel as though watching it was worth my time.

ToonCastleTV responds:

where did you see any character tweens? O.o , and yeah - I wish I had opted to for a swf format rather than mov to swf. Hopefully my next one will be more enjoyable ^^

Nothing terribly impressive or entertaining here. I really don't intend to sound mean or disrespectful here in saying that. Demo reels are supposed to be fun and full of the best work one has to show. This came off more as, "Here's some things I made. Oh, and here's some loud music on top of it." The work wasn't terrible, but I wasn't blown away by any of it. If I watched a full cartoon animated with these talents, I'm sure I'd really enjoy it. But seeing the raw animation in this format was more boring than anything.

ToonCastleTV responds:

I agree dude, like I said this was a college assignment and I had to kinda throw in a sample of everything for a deadline. My demo reel this year should actually be entertaining.

BOOOOORIIG, srry

ToonCastleTV responds:

lol sall good dont consider this krazy good anyways yo

Quite decent

It was interesting to see how far you have come with your animations. Demo reels have always been a favorite of mine. It's all the work you have done in the past year in a nutshell. I think my favorite bit here would probably be the one where the guy turns into Slash. The drawings of the human body were great too. I can only judge by the animation as there is no audio other than the music. My problem is that it does kind of remind me of "Go! Animate!".

I am so good no talented person here uses that stupid thing. Of course, you are still doing a decent job especially with the facial expressions. I hope you continue to make submissions that get highly rated. What better way to work in a class than by doing flash? It makes me wish I had taken a class like this at one point.

ToonCastleTV responds:

Thanks man, yup I goto digital animation school and am working up for kingdavid demo 2012 allready haha! Thanks for the review - big things comming soon!

Great potential!

You're very consistent with your character drawings which is VERY hard to do. (Consistent between frames)

What it does lack I noticed, at the end of an action, whether it be an arm raise or a final keyframe of sorts, there's no ease to that final frame. This isn't always nessicary but boosts your 'smooth animation' feel 10 fold.

You know how to contact me if you want to know more, and great progression mate. I'm very impressed how far you've come! :)

ToonCastleTV responds:

Haha thanks a lot buddy. Been working hard, and yes I'm aware of this technique, and if you check out Pico's Penny Prank - it is apparent in a lot of the other character's actions, (Felt Pico was krazy as fuck and felt he had exaggerated speed) But I shoulda thrown those other character's clips in on this, but i'll just put them in next years to show i've improved ;) The movement of arcs I believe is what your referring to.

the reason why I didn't do it was to save time because this was a school project and had to be in at a certain time, and barely had time to do what I did lol :P

But thanks a lot for the kind words and encouragement bro! I actually study animation avidly, but there is always more to learn - so whenever im in doubt, ill run my thoughts by ya :)
