Putting it simply, this is a bullet hell shooter.
Features:
Procedurally generated enemies:
All the enemy sprites are generated in code, meaning millions of possible baddie images, every game looks different.
Random soundtrack:
By combining 11 drum and bass tracks the in-game soundtrack varies every level.
Evolution path:
The core of the game. Each path provides a unique power-up, giving the player multiple options and ways to play through the game.
Go complete those challenges and earn those medals. Enjoy the destruction.

V1.1:
This update may take a little while to filter through the system, it's only minor amends, so if you're stuck playing plain old v1.0 you're not really missing much.
- Hi-Score text made smaller, as ZeoTerraBladeOmega broke it with his early epic score.
- Bug with certain challenges going over their max value should be fixed, thanks to Yatsufusa.
- On game complete your score is submitted automatically, thanks FoldingDuckling for pointing that out.

Quite Good
This is quite an original side to the evolution aspect of games, though it bothers me that it felt all to familiar to another retro game I know. Overall the music, graphics and feel of the game was great but can be improved.

i got an iphone app just like this.. down to the individual upgrades. Space invaders infinity gene much? i gotta say nice flash version tho

"Pop Corn Maker"
... could be the name of this game. Talking serious now, I think many of the backgrounds should be cleaner. The music was nice at the beginning, but gets annoying after some time. The evolution idea is very good, the graphics too. I liked best the idea of showing the way the enemies move with those lines. An improved sequel to this game would be great.

Best Use of Evolution
I really enjoyed the skills tree for a bullet hell shooter. Made this one feel unique and very enjoyable. The music was fantastic and the graphics made me super nostalgic. My only beef with the game is I felt the challenge stat tracker should have reset on each new game. Other than that, a solid and commendable submission. Nice job!

Simply Amazing.
It was a wonderful game. I don't usually get past the first level in these types of games, but I actually did. I got stuck later on though because I suck, but still amazing.
