Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here:

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread: /bbs/topic/1123318
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.
Update: Version 2 is now up. I made Polmire easier on easy.

stage 5

I know its hard keeping a sequel fresh and entertaining but this stage feels a bit rushed mainly because, if Im right, this is the shortest stage and the jump platforms. I fell back more than ever, this time not only 1 screen but all the way to the bottom :D. The story is right on and I find nothing repetitive in any of the stages (space shooting stage - u got wingman! :O). You made my day with the Probotector or Contra 3 Boss.

I wanted to wait...

..until I played all the parts to say anything, but I think the median rating for this stage is unfair. Yes, it was a much harder section overall, including a certain boss (hint: shotgun is your friend!), but other than that I've found the plot intriguing, the music kick-ass, the action intense, and all around very enjoyable.

As far as the artwork goes... it's like this. I will take a game like this over a 2-hour "movie"-game with little to no gameplay any day of the week. Old school Nintendo-hard? Yes, please.

Kudos to all involved. Maybe sometime in the future you might revisit it and give the graphics an overhaul, but the mechanics are spot on.

Very well done!

Definitely the best level yet! I especially loved the anti-gravitational part (despite that it proved to be quite challenging). The character interactions were also great! Can't wait for level 6!

Great variety and creative stages

Excellent game, great playability and enjoyable variety in the gameplay.

Music was excellent and the weapon balancing is getting more interesting as the series advances. The plot is not bad, I'm liking the voice acting, it's generally well done.

Graphics are a weak spot, and apparently it's turning some people off from a game that's so well done otherwise, which is sad but you can't please everybody. It's nice to see a game that has such emphasis on a playable experience rather than going for eye candy at the expense of fun.

I'm looking forward to the last episode, should be lotsa fun.
