Hi All,

It's been a while since our last multiplayer games (Jelly Battle, Helium 3 and Freekick Fusion) but the Gamenet team are now back with the first of a new series of great multiplayer games.

This is a cricket game that has been designed in a retro pixelated theme and you have three different single player levels to get through by getting enough points to qualify. The levels are Batting, Throwing and Catching and you can use the cursor keys to play all levels (instructions are in game and batting level is all about timing!).

Once you have practiced enough in single player, you can then go into Multi Player mode to play real people online in a 3 or 5 over game of cricket where you control the bowling while the other player bats, and then the other way around. Then, the player with the most runs wins. Try it it's fun!

We've only just launched the game, so please bear with the multiplayer part if there is no-one in there playing and please also let us know if you have any problems with the game.

Finally, you have to select one of the 14 cricket playing nations to play for (sorry if your country doesn't play cricket yet!) and every score you make will go towards that country in the Pixel Cricket World Table which you can see updating every 5 minutes.

There will be plenty more features added soon, but for now we would love to get your feedback as we have now soft-launched the game across our sites.

Thanks,

Paul

funny, challenging, addictive

I have to admit, the first time I played this game I dislike it. I found it to hard to play, and almost impossible to win. Well, I was wrong.

All I needed was some practice in the single player mode. If you don't train it is indeed hard to win in the multiplayer games. But if you take your time, you learn the controls rather quickly, and the fun starts!
I also have to add that the coder of this game still work on it and try to make it even better (as you can see on the new improved bowling system).

Acctually I feel very addicted to this game because it is so challenging. Guess I will never be one of the best players, but it's highly entertaining, and if you enjoy playing cricket & good, old 8-bit sounds & graphics, this game is just right for you!
