Dino Jeff returns with a new look. Several hidden areas to unlock and find. Navigate the level with care and strategic consideration in order to obtain the high score. I'm not even 100 percent sure what the highest score possible is but it's above 300 thousand. Surprise me!
Back in November of 2010 I contacted a pixel graphics user here on NG who agreed to complete the graphics side of the game for me. He even started on the project and sent me a few items. But after 4 months without another word I decided to draw and code this alone.
It turned out well. Ended up taking 2.5 weeks of actual solid work and another half week adding sound and making minor changes. I was updating the PabMo blog quite often during the process so check that out perhaps. Medals have been approved.
Wasn't sure which genre to choose because it's kind of a puzzle game as well as a collect and avoid game. Still looking for an artist to help me through the third installment which I'll start in a month or so. General hint from me would be to explore the environment. Could lag on slower computers.
From PabMo.
UPDATE 20 April 2011: Functional Mochi scoreboard added.

well it is kinda hard but he is cute can we be friends pabmo
Thanks for the review score. Yeah it's also a little hard because of bad hit detection. I wish I could find the time to learn better programming and make more games. Yeah sure we can be friends. Send me a PM. From PabMo.

Yep, the game is good, but I still don't know how to get the secret medal. If you can help me, PM me, please. Thanks.
Thanks for the positive feedback! I know it's late but I'll send over some tips now.

Not bad
I think that it's a big improvement on last time, thought the controls still seem largely unresponsive. With the way that the gravity seems to work very slowly, the game is less of a challenge than it could be, though you lose out in other areas as well, because it becomes a little tedious, in places.
I think that the graphics have improved and to put us in a place of having a good game to look at, you may wish to consider a blurb at the start of the game, explaining why we have a dinosaur, with a jet pack, seemingly in a space / industrial environment, which has traps from the middle ages within. Continuity based, you're all over the place, but that's something that good writing can explain away.
More levels is the next order of business, since you're already in the NG Medals territory, so make good on your promises with these, so that people reward your hard work. I think the next step for Jeff would be some kind of weapon and mobile enemies, which he needs to shoot, possibly heading to the end of the "Chuk Rock" analogy, by giving him big nasty boss fights every now and again.

Yes! Thank you. I hope the third will be just as much of an improvement on this game. I'll have several beta testers next time rather than three. None of them mentioned the controls so I'll look for people that are more critical. And sure, I was going to have a cut scene explaining the situation (I have written a set up) but couldn't find an animator. I'll be more patient in my search in the future.
Thanks for the ideas, an unlockable and upgradeable weapon plus boss fights will be incorporated into the next one. I think I'll have someone else do the graphics. The review is appreciated!

Not really that good.
The game didn't have that many moving animations but the game in general was OK
I'll improve that next time. Thanks.

I am suprised.
By all the other reviews, I thought this would be average. But l and behold, it ended up a bit above average (Yay!). I particularly liked the friction and inertia on the dino's movement. Another thing I liked was the way the camera moved. The problem was there was ONLY ONE LEVEL. A long level nonetheless but just one level. Also, the game was a bit simplistic. The most complicated it got was cash-and-health powerups. PRETTY PLEASE add some more levels in Dino Jeff (srsly!?) Adventure 3, and add in upgrades, like maybe an upgrade that allows Dino Jeff or whatever his name is to shoot.
Oh, and also make the levels taller.

Thanks for the review. Yeah a lot of the negative feedback was from one user that hates me. You mentioned some good points. I'll keep note for the next one. It'll be much longer and smoother. I'd have someone else doing the art (I hope) so it'd leave more time for me to code. I'll see how the levels look taller.
