Dino Jeff returns with a new look. Several hidden areas to unlock and find. Navigate the level with care and strategic consideration in order to obtain the high score. I'm not even 100 percent sure what the highest score possible is but it's above 300 thousand. Surprise me!

Back in November of 2010 I contacted a pixel graphics user here on NG who agreed to complete the graphics side of the game for me. He even started on the project and sent me a few items. But after 4 months without another word I decided to draw and code this alone.

It turned out well. Ended up taking 2.5 weeks of actual solid work and another half week adding sound and making minor changes. I was updating the PabMo blog quite often during the process so check that out perhaps. Medals have been approved.

Wasn't sure which genre to choose because it's kind of a puzzle game as well as a collect and avoid game. Still looking for an artist to help me through the third installment which I'll start in a month or so. General hint from me would be to explore the environment. Could lag on slower computers.

From PabMo.

UPDATE 20 April 2011: Functional Mochi scoreboard added.

ok but...

i like the concept of the game but there were a few bugs like sometimes dino would fly without me touching anyting. I also have a question, can you press the gray buttons if then i guess that another bug.

PabMo responds:

Thanks for the review. Those buttons are inactive. Another button needs to be pressed before it will become active. It's mentioned in the instructions. Please read those. Thanks.

Thanks for the support moogle! You're right, it seems as though they think I owe them something. All I did was make a game intended to entertain and amuse someone for a while. If they dislike the game for some reason they could at least write a detailed review telling me what I could improve, rather than just saying it was bad and nothing more. After all the effort I put in, I at least deserve constructive criticism. I don't mind getting a score of 0 even, as long as there is great detail in what was wrong and what could be different. Thanks for the review and high score! I appreciate it.

Okay, but not great

The game is okay. I feel like there's not much point to it, and it seems like you're running around in circles. But that's just me.

PabMo responds:

Is there much point to life itself?

Well I watched the walkthrough and yes, I still think the games to slow but that's fine.
The things I have the biggest issue with is the fact that there isn't really a plot or any sort of aspect that makes people want to keep looking for clues.
I mean its sorta part puzzle game right? Perhaps its best to try and find away to make it more rich for a player. Try and make it so that players WANT to play the game because when I played it it was okay but it I sorta felt like the exploring and collecting wasn't getting me anywhere.

PabMo responds:

I am interested in hearing how you think I could make the content more "rich" for the player. Send me a PM with your ideas. I must be missing something.

THE PLOT: Dino Jeff, the last of his kind, has been captured by a league of sinister scientists who plan to dissect and clone him with the intention of engineering dinosaur super soldiers for world domination. He wakes up in the lab and needs to escape before the scientists return from their lunch break. His personal account has been drained of all funds and all his information has been deleted; he no longer exists. Collect enough of the coins that are around the lab (belonging to the scientists) in order to start a new life in Mexico.
