Is it possible to lose? I didn't play long enough. I did however notice one thing wrong with the scoring system.
If you make a combination that looks like this:

* * *
*
*

It scores the same as just getting 3 in a row (3 points).

Also, when there are multiple groups of 3 or 4 in a row in different parts of the board they DONT break simultaneously, which screws up combos royally. Example:

* * * * <--- 4 in a row
% & # @ <--- random gems
$ $ $ <---- 3 in a row

The dollar sign row broke first, and the three stars above fell down. The 4 in a row of stars never broke.
