CONTROLS:
Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER:
========================
If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here: http://bit.ly/NCx4h

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread: http://www.newgrounds.com /bbs/topic/1123318
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.

Repetitive Gameplay and Crudely Drawn

I was tempted to give this a lower score just because of all the hype, but I opted to try and make my review as independent from other people's views as possible. There is nothing that interesting let alone groundbreaking about this title. The only stand out aspect I can think of is the crisp voice acting, but I would think that that should more be icing upon the story and game-play mechanics, which are in actuality bland and unappealing. I found the art to be its most undesirable feature. I know that graphics don't make a game, but there is a standard, and characters that look like they were drawn in MS Paint do not reach it. I'm not sure why this series has been getting daily feature. I can tell a lot of work was put into it, but to put it bluntly, it's the product that counts, and this is one of repetitive monotony.

Not as good as the second one

The coolest thing about this was that you had access to all those awesome weapons at the same time. The weirdest thing was how you kept attacking your enemies over and over. What did not make this as enjoyable was how it simply went on forever and was too hard. I guess I could always train for it. It's also that the environment was not as good, everything just seems too ordinary. I want a larger variety of enemies with cooler designs.

At this point, I really do not care about how the animation is not the best. What matters is that you still had a good variety of songs being played and the voice actors did a good job. A pity I did not finish the last one so I do not quite understand this. Of course, I rarely do that with games here anyway. The coolest weapon was the bazooka.

Okay, here goes...

The game is a great concept, really, but there are a few problems I'd like to address. The game is great. It took time to get used to the controls, but not too bad. The main problem the fact that enemies can kamikazi you to death, health from baddies ends are too high when you kill them from the roof and those that do fly, and the fact that, well, the boss fights are not that much challenging. After the first game, all the bosses are all too predictable, and once you fight one, your like "Gee, I wonder how he will move this time..."

The graphics, on the other hand, are not bad. Brings in the whole "retro" thing, and is quite enjoyable. The flames in the building, however, were just too silly.

Looking forward to the next game.

Again you have failed

To read what I am fully thinking please look at the review of stage two. But nonetheless I digress. This game was easier I will give you that and only that. But this game still lacks functionality, textures, quality sounds and voice acting, originality and most importantly ART. I advise you to stop with this series before you earn yourself derogatory medals such as turd of the week. How this series got to the front page I do not know, perhaps other daily submissions have somehow been worse. But upon playing this my face just became this %u0CA0_%u0CA0. Please don't waste any more time on this, it's not going to get anywhere.
