Hay guys!
Here's the shooter I've been working on for a while, hope ya enjoy it.

Mouse/Arrow Keys: Movement
Z/Click: Main Weapon: Fast but weak.
X/Double-Click: Sub Weapon: Powerful but charges slowly.
C/Space: Bomb: Clears the screen.
Shift: Focus: Slows down your movement and shows hitbox.
P/Esc: Pause

If the game runs slowly, turn off the graphics stuff in the options.
Also, if you experience any problems with the keys sticking, just use mouse controls instead.

LOL I died right when I killed the final wTF lolz?

Anyways Matt, good game-but you might wanna make it a bit less repetitive.

Also, for all players.

NOTE: When you try to finish all 20 levels with no heart upgrade, don't try to finish all lvls with a "S" rank. I got "S" rank in everything except the final level.

SERIOUSLY, WTF is with the last level?!?!?!?!

Recommended player: Matt

Reason: With him, getting an "S" rank is possible on all levels (I could do it with Matt but not anyone else)

Very good Danmaku

Slow paced and very simple, which is very enjoyable in a danmaku game.
The upgrading made the game fairly easy, however, and I was able to clear most of the game without dying.
Excellent game nonetheless, and I applaud you on your continuous good work.

Can't stop playing!

I have touhou on my computer, I can play hard if i try my hardest and just barely make it using all continues. And in that game, the bullets dissapear after defeating a boss. But, even though, those "flaws" are not a problem. I can easily focus well enough to avoid being "doomed". Maybe it's just a preference rather than a flaw. practice?
Also, really? the crab boss? I had no problem beating it or getting around its waves of bullets.

Anyway, the upgrades for this game add a very nice, "chance" at winning. like I said, i can barely play HARD mode on Touhou, so I can feel the satisfaction of being given a chance. I like how it's still challenging as fuck even after all the upgrades. has a lot of replay value and that's never bad. I'm interested to see another shooter or bullet hell game, specifically, coming from you.

Very nice game, solid overall. Controls went wonky a couple times and I lost control of the character, but that was a rare occurance. Plus, there were a number of annoying flaws in the gameplay

1) Beating boss section does not clear all bullets from screen.

If you're going to follow up a whole- field bullet pattern that requires small, very precise movements, don't follow it up with a large, fast moving mass of bullets shot at the player's face. Trying to get out of the former fast enough to dodge the latter is a pain in the ass.

2) Make holding down the Fire button a strategy worth a damn.

I need to focus on dodging. Having to split my attention between shooting and not shooting is annoying.

3) Multiple Bullet patterns shouldn't doom the player.

Whenever you've a got a boss or a number of enemies shooting multiple bullets at you, the difficulty spikes because the bullet patterns don't synchronize. Sometimes, they overlap and create places where you can't dodge. Other times, the patterns cancle each other out- the movements you use to dodge one pattern run you straight into the other, and vice versa. The end result is you have to play the sequence by ear every time, which makes it vastly more frustrating. And you've got a couple of bullet patterns (such as the spiral one on the crab boss) that simply just don't work. If you're in the wrong place when that pattern starts, you're doomed, and there's no way to recover without taking multiple hits.
