i spent ages on this. it's my first madness animation (dont count casey the punsiher, i made that during this)
if people like it i may stop playing tf2 long enough to make a sequel.
Final note: if you like the music, check out DJ-Fantasy, he has heaps of cool music
EDIT: if you watched this when it was first uploaded, i fixed the screen issue :(
EDIT 2: WOW! 3rd place, must be better than i thought! :D
- i got front paged? thats awesome! :D thanks to all people who made that happen, newgrounders and newground mod team and the like
- thanks heaps for the feedback, i've been using it all as i make the next one
It's basically done, and then you add another minute...
The test is really way too fast, but otherwise it's really nice.
Good First Attempt
Overall I think it is a great first attempt at a Madness animation. You can improve though perhaps a bit on the use of the white ghost movements (ie when he is jumping behind everyone or up to everyone) and improve on the character itself when fighting. Specifically with the white outlines I found that early on it was too exaggerated. Being exaggerated it was hard to follow; I had to watch through it a second time to understand where the fighting was occurring.
Well Enjoyed though nonetheless and deserves another.
I actually have a few ideas on how to make it flow better for next time, in fact, I have madness activation 2 up on my computer right now
Try to write some constructive criticism
So... First, the story so far isn't bad. But it's madness, so the story shouldn't be very important.
The choice of the soundtrack... Well, you liked it, so I can't say much. I didn't but that's my problem.
The animations... It kinda looks like madness, but you could improve them a little. But for the fifth flash, they are very good.
What I liked were the flashbacks and the diffrent animation style. You should keep that.
And one little advice: Next time, make the whole short a bit faster. Madness has to be a little hyperactive.
I'll give you a 8 and am happy with it.
i'll keep that in mind, thanks! :D
you seem to become quite a regular source of advice :)
except 1) the sound wasn't synced with the movement and attacks for me. Despite changing the quality from high to low and back to high again, refreshing the page, stopping and playing, etc. My computer isn't crap, I can run graphic and CPU-intense FPS on it. So...
and 2) The attack speed wasn't up to my expectation. I mean, compared to Krinkel's and other's madness flashes, the time between each gunshot, each slash, is much slower than what I'm used to.
Other than those, I must say I love where you're going with the concept, I like the flashbacks and how you try to blend the whole thing together. Commendable, yes.
But when you make your sequel, please up the speed of the fighting, it's slowly driving me insane, I swear.
the music isn't synched to the action, but rather the events and shifts, and if you have your graphics setting too high, it makes it lag, so the music plays before it should, leaving you with an awkward bit at the end where theres no music and you're like "wtf"
and thats what i meant by that :3
it was ok
The movement in it just felt too slow, but the animation was good, I especially liked the way to teleportations looked.
An indirect Sequel to "The Artist" shows the life of the salaryman
Cornelius & Toots are back, and a Haunted House Ride seems a little spookier than usual!
this one isn't funny
