CONTROLS:
Arrow Keys - Move / Aim
Z - Shoot
X - Jump
C - Change Weapons
Spacebar - Pause / Open Map

You can also use WASD to move and JKL to shoot/jump/change weapons, however on some browsers/keyboards you may run into issues with too many keys being pressed at once, nothing I can do about that.

PLAY WITH A CONTROLLER:
========================
If you have a PC Gamepad, I highly recommend using the Joy2Key Software. You can download it: here: http://bit.ly/NCx4h

Saving - Progress through the stage is saved automatically at every major checkpoint. If you have to leave and come back, your progress will still be there!

Bugs - If you do find a bug, please report it to me via PM. Be as descriptive as you can, I can't fix things if I don't know what went wrong!

Sticky Keys Bug - If the keys feel like they're sticking, character keeps running after you let go, please read the third post in this thread: http://www.newgrounds.com/bbs/topic/1123318
This is a bug with some browsers/systems and there's really nothing I can do to fix it.

AMAZING AUDIO isn't the only important thing .....

I absolutely love what I hear, but otherwise it's quite forgettable. If you kept the AMAZING voice acting, awesome soundtrack and decent sound effect, and worked on the animation, this would easily be a 10. Outstanding voice cast doesn't make up for the lame animation. I like the game. I bet future installments will be much better and can't wait to see them!

broken idea

ya i can overlook the crappy flash art, but the whole control scheme is just dumb. why would I ever want to have to MOVE backwards when I have to AIM behind me in a SIDESCROLLER.... Jumping does nothing to avoid shots, you have to repeatedly tap left and right to be able to shoot backwards without getting sucked to the left side of the screen where all I can see is bullets hitting me... im sorry i wish i could be nicer but this feels like something that was made like 10 years ago. too unrefined to suffer more than 5 minutes of. I probably only saw a fraction of the game, but it was unredeemable.

How is this getting good reviews?

I'm sure the voice actors may have fans, although I'm not entirely sure why. They are not very good. Generic at best. Once again art, story, gameplay and design are all poorly executed. Animation is nonexistant.

Also, you can just sit in the corners to avoid virtually all enemies.

This game is really terrible. So is the voice acting.

Getting better!

I liked this one more than the last one. I was absolutely not expecting that change in gameplay at the start of this stage - that was a pleasant surprise.

*insert graphics stuff here. F*** your life, kill your children, and all that jazz I'm apparently supposed to say because you have bad art. I missed the memo.*

Once again, you seem to have trouble balancing difficulty. As awesome as the first part of the stage may be, I found it to be one of the more difficult parts of the stage - so much that when I was playing it, I wondered for a bit if stage 6 was going to be pretty near impossible. The good part is that this stage is a little more balanced in difficulty overall, and is just how I like it: you will probably die the first time attempting any part, but it's never too hard as to be discouraging - it just takes a little memorization or experience. And the fact that this is practically twice as long helps.

My requisite Weird Thing I Noticed That Probably Should Be Fixed with this stage was in the scene before the robot walker boss. When it revealed itself, Carina was
staring off into space, unconcerned with impending doom.

Bottom line: anyone reviewing with a score of 0 simply didn't play the game past the first 30 seconds.

This one's favorited. Keep them coming!
