This short was made for Titmouse's Annual 5 Second Day.

Don't ask me what the 5 seconds means.....we had fun making films that day.

Justin Ridge made the music I made the animation.

Art: 9/10 - simple and clean, maybe a bit too clean with too simple a color palate, but clean is good for a flash of this type. Too much color would distract from the fine details. Kudos for some of the particularly creative visual representations of some of the sounds, such as the puppet.
Animation: 10/10 - everything on the screen moves fluidly, which is amazing given the amount of objects moving at any one time. Great detail on the mechanics; the xylophone for example.
Sound: 10/10 - creative use of sound effects to make rhythm and music, and all sounds were synched perfectly to the animation.
Plot/Creativity: 10/10 - there is no plot per se, but a high level of creativity in the design of the music box.

Overall: 39/40 = 10/10. A wonderful piece of animation, whimsical and creative. I couldn't help but watchThe best flash I have seen in a long, long while. A catchy song, an ideal length, intriguing artwork... here's hoping it finds a place in the top 100 for a while. It deserves to be there.

A Benchmark

This animation just set the bar a little higher for what's possible in Flash. I don't see how it could be improved. Thank you for sharing it with us. Yours In Total Awe...
