This game needs better graphic, sound, more content, and plenty of polish.

A very simple game I made for Newgrounds.
Please note this is my first submission so please rate fairly.
EDIT: Yes about a half-hour after passing judgment I fixed stuff.
FIXES:
The "win" cinematic is the way it should.
You no longer return to the preloader upon death.
No more selecting more than one option a turn.
Enemy does less damage. (Doesn't mean you wont lose though!)
the only reason you lose a star is because you have made the characters to "minecraft-like". i'm very sorry.

Pretty Good, but you almost can't die on the boss, and you can just take the items in Walmart. Good controls though, and cool battle system! Good Job, Dude!

I know my review score may seem harsh, but I've seen first-time submissions from people that actually qualify as full games. This is a sample project more than anything else, consisting of a series of tests for the basics (ensuring that entering buildings, buying equipment, and a basic battle function properly), and with the meat of the project being a fight that's quite literally nigh-impossible without cheating your way to two simultaneous buffs, you managed to even fail at one of the fundamentals.
That said, I really want to see you keep trying, if for no other reason, then because you at the least seem to have a respectable sense of humor. Keep the sprite character graphics, do something a bit more interesting with the background graphics, adjust the difficulty, add sound, and have more than a single sample fight and I think you can have a respectable first-time GAME, and maybe a solid foundation for a strong future series, or at the least a good step forward in making a name for yourself.
If nothing else, I believe thanks to this submission that you have the potential to make things that are much bigger, so keep at it!

HAHA!! But i have fixed selecting more than one buff per turn! So I do keep trying!
I'll probably make a second one a million times better than this. This was just a half-assed project that I wanted to get done quickly.
