Making this game was really amazing, thanks AustinBreed for the GameJam, this competition is really entertaining and always brings us new and interesting stuff. In our dynamic duo, FlashStorm did a great artwork and animations in this game and EagleGuard's song gave the gameplay much more action! This game is challenging and require a bit of your patience. Excuse if there is any bugs, this game was made in just 3 days for the competition and don't think I forgot this game, I'll be looking to check every bug. Please don't vote it low just because it is a bit hard, the game is really possible! Feel free to PM to tell about bugs or just leave a comment. :)

Leave comments and enjoy!

Kool.

Liked the graphics but the game play was a little to repetitive and simple

Well....

It isn't a super duper polished game by any means. Let me point out what glares at me most:

There's really not any room to maneuver correctly, as you can't see any obstacles coming in time to do more than mash one direction or the other. So forget about actually collecting items in a reasonable fashion.

Then there's the fact that getting hit staggers you and doesn't allow you to recover. Instead of being invincible for a little bit it's possible, and very likely, that you'll take two to three hits in sequence after the first.

OR, I could just hold spacebar. Yep. Just holding down spacebar gives you entire and total immunity to every spike and small rock. All you've got to do is dodge the boulders and cacti. Between that and health packs (not that you can aim for them... but if you get them by random) you'll be set to live for a very very long time.

Oh, and the high scores don't work. But with that jumping flaw it's not like they'd be remotely competitive anyways, it'd just be who could stand it longest in one sitting.

Ok, thanks for it, I think I'll put the char more far away from the screen bottom :)

Yeah I agree, you keep jumping if holding spacebar, I was going to do it only by pressing but I prefered to have it on holding.

There seems to be some bug/error in the API, because all the medals (which this game HAVE) AREN'T working and ALL of them have been triggered when I was testing, I tried debugging in NG Debugger but that didn't traced anything, I'm waiting for a PM of an admin. So be patient.

Thanks for review.

Well...

It is what it is: a cowboy avoiding shiny spikes. The art is sometimes pretty contradictory. You put in nearly realistic images of guns, but the in-game objects look simple. You tried perspective, but it doesn't work with the sprites moving up. The music is pretty good, but some actions don't trigger sounds(eg. when you hit the spikes it should make a TCCHK-AAH sound, but it doesn't make a tone) and jumping and sometimes collision are a little awkward.
Still, you did this in only 3 days, so that's pretty impressive, but it's not the best game jam entry.

Hey, thanks for review. Yeah I tried to get some perspective, most of the all the art in this game were done by me :P so that is why I guess lol. Thanks for like the music. I'm not going to lie to you, I REALLY searched for the spike sounds as said but I didn't found any but I really would like to meet one :) Thanks again for review :)

considering the three days limit...

it was an okay game, but it gets old really quick. i would love to see your team do some other stuff though, preferably with more time, seeing you can churn out something playable in just three days.

Spysociety responds:

Hey there genryuusai, thanks for review :). I'm glad that you would like to see a more advanced version of this one. I also thought in a new version. Thanks again for review :)

Well...

Alright concept, and I suppose the fact that it was made in such a short time gets some props... Not greatly executed though

Spysociety responds:

Yeah. Thanks for review. Thanks again :)
