This game was created for the One Hour Project that I'm hosting. I started it at 10:40PM, but unfortunately ended at 12:20 AM, because of some errors with a little bit of code. Understand that this game was made within one hour, for the heck of it; To see what I'd come up with. And this is it! This is probably one of the best games you will play, because as you are fighting those evil red squares, you'll remember in the back of your head: "This game was made within one hour (kind of)! This is AMAZING!"

The One Hour Project Can be Found Here:

[ Remove the space between the "C" and the "O" for some reason, NG puts a space there. :l ]

I might do a collective 1 Hour project with up to 10 or 15 other people.
If you think this is a good idea, leave a message on my One Hour Project Page.

Controls:

LEFT: Move Left
RIGHT: Move Right
SPACE: Shoot Missles

One hour project?

Well, I think is not so much for an hour of programming. Plus, the collision detection doesn't work very well and there isn't a goal in the game, you just have to shoot at red squares :-S

Pointless ***TYPO***BUG***

Not the worst game ive played. Enemies is spelled wrong, and the bullets fly through the enemy w/o hitting them.

Quite repetitve

It can get quite boring just shooting squares that only go left and right and can't attack you. It kind of loses it's excitement and challenge. I would like to see a time limit, and the possibility of moving your own square faster and being able to kill enemies right after they spawn. That would make it seem more fun.

Not too bad... *Bug Alert*

I understand it was made within an hour but it's not THE best game out there. But it is nice to see someone challenging themselves-- it'll pay off in the long run. But here's my review:
Art: 7 Nothing fancy, but it works.
Sound: 9 Nice background music that fits. I also like the shot sound.
Controls: 9 Responsive, but not too engaging.
Gameplay: 6 Simple and too easy. At least let some of the blocks shoot back.
Overall: 8 Decent fun for a few minutes. Update it, please.
** If a block appears after a shot, the shot will go right through it. Not sure if its a bug or if you just overlooked it.**

meh

Not much of a game. I can see that would be good practice or proof of concept when learning how to develop games with Flash. I'm assuming you know that the game isn't really good so for bug testing's sake here is something I noticed:

When sweeping left or right and holding the space bar. the missiles will quite often just pass right through the enemy boxes. I couldn't really tell if the red boxes' hit boxes were not big enough or if there was something weird going on with missiles hitting target that spawned after the missile was already en-route. Just something to look into and good luck with any future projects!
