This was such a big project for me. I came up with the idea of making this movie back in 2010 during July, and I just couldnt wait any longer to direct and animate this hole thing. Four months passed by and lots of effort where put to bring this story to life. This time I coun't with the talented voices of Christopher Niosi, and Jessi Nowack both acting as Chase and April respectively. And I must say it was great working with them, the result is really impresive, and thats why I thank them so much for helping me.
My Idea was not to make the typical romantic movie. So dont expect that here :). There will be major twists in the story.

Anyway, I really hope you like this movie!.

If the animation lags, turn down quality using right click! :)

Thanks for watching!

EDIT: Laggy sequences fixed.

Very nice, with some slight negatives

I really, really liked this, story-wise, and animation wise.

I'm not down-rating for it, but there were certain animations that irked me, and detracted a bit from the feel/emotion of the moment. For example, the animations were the two characters would run seemed very clunky/unrealistic throughout most of it, and it kind of distracted me, to be honest. The faces did not have much actual expression to them besides speech (I honestly thought the 'sad face' the female had right before the explosion was funny), and I feel that would have added on to what you were trying to accomplish.

There were some other small things, such as after the male character gets up after the bombings--the blood on his face actually continues through his hair a bit, and it kind of takes away from the realistic feel. (It was just something that jumped out from the first watch, and every time since)

As for the music, voices, story (cliches and all), I really liked it, it set the perfect mood, and the rises, falls, and cutoffs of the music fit very well.

Kudos to all of you, I'll be waiting patiently for the next one!

Pretty good

The animation was very well done and the song choices were heartfelt and fantastic.
The only problem I had with this animation is the relative volume of the dialogue to the music. For example, during the second song that comes on, it comes in very strongly and then completely fades... and then comes back up again and then fades again... "well.. I think we all have our own destiny." (song fades completely and then abruptly starts again) and it's just very strange and puts me off. The male's voice has a lot of bass frequencies that the music is drowning out, and I would recommend a pop-filter on your microphone or to step farther from your mic and apply a compressor because I'm using headphones and I still can't hear him or understand what he's saying sometimes.
Sorry if I'm being overcritical but I'm a recording artist and these things sort of bother me but I understand that not everyone pays as much attention to these things as I do. So that's why you get an 8 :)
overall a pleasant experience, for the most part I was hooked.

Great Animation

The drawings were very smooth, the voices convincingly realistic and the music was good too. I'm not sure about the historical factor though. The clothes looked more like they belonged to WWI. Also, France didn't experience that much bombing in WWII, rather it was England and Germany. Regardless, bombings were among the cruelest methods used during that time, so it fits in somehow.

Good animation and style but distasteful

The over all story of the lover and the tragedy is good but why does it have to be Germans? This is completely offensive to me because I am part German, a WWII expert, and my grandfather did fight in WWII.

Why do people always expect the German army to do these terrible things? I read several comments and they show a lot of ignorance among people of newground. Other than humiliating the French, the Germans didn't slaughter everyone for fun like shown in "The Saboteur" or every other images. Also, this is really unrealistic. Why in the world would anyone waste ammunition bombing attacking 2 random people and an empty field? Hell, we have a small squadron here attacking them as if they have nothing better to do. There's a war going on in 1940 and there are way too many military targets that really needs to be attacked. This event is completely bullshit to me.

Could have been better if it was an alien invasion or something.
