I wrote this game while travelling in Europe and Central America, and created everything but the music myself. It's not your usual point and shoot zombie game; Rebuild is a thoughtful, wordy game that takes real strategy to win. You need to balance acquiring food, expanding your base, killing zombies and keeping your people happy. Gamers should start on Hard difficulty and expect to lose their first game (it's more fun that way).

Great Game. I didn't find it too hard at the 'normal' level and managed to beat it on the first try. I'll have another go another time at a higher difficulty.

This was a great game. I won't waste any time telling you that, so I'll tell you why I didn't give you a 10/10.

The Guard-Duty selection system could use some work. It was really tedious having to hit "Select All" for the horde attacks and then "Select None" and then re-select all my usual soldiers after it. Maybe add a button that says "Add X many Soldiers?"

Speaking of the selection systems, it was kind of cumbersome. To be fair, I was using a trackpad, but it was still a hassle to use. It also glitched a couple times. It seemed like it was an issue of loading up the next couple people.

A few less-technical suggestions: Maybe allow for a larger map? 12X12 is big enough, but we're gamers! We want bigger, dammit! About halfway through the game, I stopped being able to turn graveyards into other things. I wasn't sure what was up with that.

Other than those complaints, this is one of the greatest games on Newgrounds. I spent a couple hours playing that I could have otherwise spent sleeping.

Congratulations on making such a great game! Thank you for making such a great game!

Awesome and Unique

The game is really good, when I saw the title, I thought to myself, this is just another zombie survival game, I was right, but it's not a shooter, which is a welcome breather. It's a strategy based overview city control and maintenance type game, much like Sim City, but in 2014 and in a zombie apocalypse. I liked the way that the player chose what to do, how to do it, etc. Sometimes the game puts you on your toes, like, "Oh, My city is running out of food, I better find some, but wait, they might die, so I better send some soldiers, oh, but wait, there is a horde of zombies coming next turn." It really puts the pressure on you, which is a nice change. The game was unique and different, some shooter fan boys may not like it, but a lot of other people did. I liked it, almost everyone in the comments liked it, we look forward to a sequel.

4 endings

1- discovery the cure
2- make safe every city block
3- destroy the zombie portal
4- make a governemt (stupid, just that dont finish the game, and that remember me to the prologue of half life 2)
the option 1 is normal, a normal ending, the second is.....stupid, only the city is safe, that was my ending because i completed all the rest, the 3 ending was like the 2, just protected the city, not the world, and the 4 is stupid, it looks like the only normal ending is the one, but with every ending you got different escenes, and i just wont make all over again
