I wrote this game while travelling in Europe and Central America, and created everything but the music myself. It's not your usual point and shoot zombie game; Rebuild is a thoughtful, wordy game that takes real strategy to win. You need to balance acquiring food, expanding your base, killing zombies and keeping your people happy. Gamers should start on Hard difficulty and expect to lose their first game (it's more fun that way).

...I have found a diamond in the saltmine!

Of all zombie games I have played, I must say that thus far, this one has been the most taking. This is the first zombie-themed game I have seen that sets your main objective to reclaiming a city. I'm lovin' this concept. Completely.

All the aspects and possible events in the game are completely believable. Perhaps the only other factors you might add in are maybe a military involvement of some sort? Letting your city act as a military rescue team's base of operation sounds like a damn good addition to me. And maybe some interference from weather, since it doesn't always agree?

The objective to beat the game (Not spoiling for the lot of you that have yet to play) does work, but just seems a more... ...Disembodied encounter than an actual part of the game. Having to fend off successive hordes following made sense, however, but I would personally have preferred to see a little more of a chain following the completion. (As in perhaps another somewhere in the city?)

My only real disappointment was in the overall size of the map. Reclaimed all of it in 100 days, and found myself itching to dominate more. if anything for a future installment of similar style, a larger map would be most welcome, challenging, and allow for a longer playtime.

All things considered, I love it, and hope to see more akin to it. Will there be more from you to continue on this new style?

Great Game. I didn't find it too hard at the 'normal' level and managed to beat it on the first try. I'll have another go another time at a higher difficulty.

This was a great game. I won't waste any time telling you that, so I'll tell you why I didn't give you a 10/10.

The Guard-Duty selection system could use some work. It was really tedious having to hit "Select All" for the horde attacks and then "Select None" and then re-select all my usual soldiers after it. Maybe add a button that says "Add X many Soldiers?"

Speaking of the selection systems, it was kind of cumbersome. To be fair, I was using a trackpad, but it was still a hassle to use. It also glitched a couple times. It seemed like it was an issue of loading up the next couple people.

A few less-technical suggestions: Maybe allow for a larger map? 12X12 is big enough, but we're gamers! We want bigger, dammit! About halfway through the game, I stopped being able to turn graveyards into other things. I wasn't sure what was up with that.

Other than those complaints, this is one of the greatest games on Newgrounds. I spent a couple hours playing that I could have otherwise spent sleeping.
