High Tea is a strategic plate-spinning game, you play an independent British smuggler selling opium in China's Pearl Delta.

Buy cheap and sell high to make a profit, but make sure you also obtain enough tea to keep Britain happy. You have ten years before the opium wars begin - can you make your fortune?

Based on historical events, this game also shines a light on a questionable episode in the history of the British Empire.

Interesting

But I thought opium originated in China, and was imported to Britain. Either way, this is a good game. We see many games romaticize history, white-washing over the unsavory parts. But this one gets down to reality (drug trafficking) and the reason for it (commerce). Good job!

Awesome

Though I don't know whether the price fluctuation was scripted or not, i found this a reeeaally good game. Follow-up (if there is goint to be one) could have just a little more depth, but it mustn't lose its speed.

Lots of fun, buuuuuut...

Could you find it in your heart to give the option to sell your boats? There is no earthly reason I should need 5 at any time in the game... I have at most 3 in use at any given time. Being able to get even one emergency $1000 injection of capital in the last ten seconds of the game would have gotten me through...

great game

I never taught a tea game could be good, but this one, this one is just great. Maybe it's selling illegal drugs or something like that. There is just a minor set back, the could be longer and more fun. Some upgrades could be done. And.. yeah great game I got 86,976,279. I finished it the second try because I didn't bother to read the tutorial because I taught it was a bad game. Well it turns out I was wrong.
