Simple and wonderful.

That's all it is. A wonderful game. I'll try to put it into words.

First off, this game has wonderful charm. the music, the animation, and the gameplay, all fit in so well.

For the gameplay, it's not frantic or heart-racing, but relaxing and enjoyable. You know you are having fun when you play this game. The least enjoyable part of the game is probably early on, when you don't have many of the upgrades and struggle to steer and gain speed. If you don't know what upgrades to get, this struggling can last for a bit. Maybe putting "important" next to certain skills, like better model, could help.

I usually say a lot more about gameplay, because it's kind of the most important part of any game, but I can't. The gameplay in this story is so great, I'm struggling to come up with ways to improve it. It's fun and addicting.

The graphics and story are both very nice, good enough that I can't say it needs improving at all.

This is it for the review of this game. I want to say more, but there isn't much to say. It's good, and I can't think of many ways to improve it. If you decide to make a sequel, hopefully you could make it longer. Heck, you could probably put this as an I-phone game or something, tilting the screen to turn, and pressing the screen to boost.

Extra tips for others:
-Try to be upgrading for a better model when you can, it's probably the best upgrade. Rudder control is a good enough upgrade.

-Crane booster is a very useful upgrade. Upgrading throwing power isn't very useful, it doesn't add much to how far you will go.

-You can use different strategies to go farther early on. The one I found that works decently early on is staying low and relying on windmills to keep you up, just stay near the ground, hitting a windmill sideways still propels you up. This loses effectiveness once winds get introduced, making it risky to do this, but it's a stratagy that uses very little fuel, just enough to turn a bit to get a large boost.

-Don't use fire booster that often, only use it when you need a burst of speed to catch something or avoid something else. On it's own, it's a waste of fuel. Just get it for when you need the speed, then wait until later to upgrade it.

-Learn to rely on cranes and gold stars to build up speed. You'll need to upgrade steering a bit, but the result is you'll be going faster then fire booster without using much fuel.

-The faster you go, the more money you can collect, since you pass by more stars, and are more likely to run into more stars. Going higher slows you down, so be careful about it.

-You probably don't need wind detector, unless you want to get to space.

Best game on NewGrounds.

Seriously! Number one spot on my favorites list. I've beaten it so many times now and would LOVE to see a sequel! Maybe more plane designs, more upgrades... but the simplicity and elegance of this game is superb!
