Update2: Holy fartcicles! Frontpage! Did *not* expect that!! Also I fixed the glitch where the "snow ball effect" is still there the second time you play. It should be updated once they approve the new file. And added a "clear save file" button too. So if you've finished the game, you can have fun with infinite ice!
Update: made the game a tad easier, and fixed a glitch where the boss sequence didn't appear.
We did it, with much better timing than the last game jam.
Special thanks to ToughManNagaty for his amazing help throughout the project!
Contains 11 levels with a really cool boss sequence. The game also saves automatically.
You might sometimes be teleported out of the level, just press R to restart and carry on.
Enjoy!

Little bug
This game looks really like fun and is really enjoyable . Nice graphics , BGM that fits in the game , what it needs to be ! But at the level where it says that you can press R to restart , sometimes if you spawn you land out of the map ... I moved more left until an infinite fall loop ... Can you please fix this bug ? Otherwise , this game is better than some others I saw around the net .
Like I said in the description "You might sometimes be teleported out of the level, just press R to restart and carry on." But if you fell into an infinite loop, just refresh and try again, the game saves so you can continue normally.
Other than that, I'll try to fix that. I already fixed a bunch of other bugs, just waiting for the new swf to be approved.

Definitely a 'fool-proof' game.
... which means, just anyone can be smart and cheat in this game. Not exactly cheating, but playing without abiding to the game rules. Oh, and buggy.
In such games where you can freely explore around the area, perhaps it'll be a good idea to set specific boudaries. For example, the second last level before (the huge snowball stage) allows you to skip through the whole level so fast, it's not even counted as playing the game anymore. That just happened when I pressed the button towards the left of the respawn area, and decided to venture upwards, only to find a shortcut to end the game and my satisfaction faster than intended.
Another would be the second level where you'll be teleported to another area completely when respawned after restarting. Fortunately, this was stated in the "Author Comments" section, so I've got no qualms about it. But quoting Pedromac: "I found out I can fall infinitely by making an ice bridge to the left and jumping". Not really a nice way to stall another player. Perhaps some last minute changes could have prevented it?
Basically, my inference is that, the game's levels are just a huge map where you can explore freely. The boudaries indeed were set, but the restricted regions and/or edges of the area has too large a space which allows the player to get through almost all of the stages fast. Heck, I even believe it is possible to go infinitely upwards when convinced of the loose rules the game imposes on the players themselves.
However, it is still an excellent game due to it being a submission for the Game Jam #2 competition, which has a time restriction of a maximum 72 hours or less. But being excellent, it still needs to have less flaws and more games.
One major flaw, when one attempts to play the whole game again (or maybe it's just me), the snowball 'effect' is still around to shove the character to the right, but the maps of the each and every individual levels are still present, and thus the movement becomes erractic, even enabling the character to pass through static walls. But it is still a nice and enjoyable game on the overall, and with its simplicity and certainly interesting plot, I believe it should have a 7/10 (:
Wow, an invisible snowball chases you the next time you play? Haha, didn't see that one! Gotta fix that!
And thanks for the long and detailed review! I really appreciate it!
About the whole "you can play without abiding by the game rules bit" I actually wanted to leave that in. I like the idea of players finishing levels in ways I didn't think of myself. That second last level you were talking about was really annoying me, and when I was testing it, I had to move the goal closer so I can test it quicker, I never thought of your method!
Anyway, thanks for the review, and for pointing out that bug!

glitchy
it was fun annoying at times but i found some parts hard or impossible i ended up glitching my way thro most of it at the beginning of the giant snowball level i built snowballs up then jumped over it so i could take my time with the level but all in all i love a game i can glitch thro nice job :)
That's actually a really smart move :P
