"Yes, that is supposed to happen."

This was done for the Newgrounds Game Jam #2. We had 72 hours to make a game.
Taking the path less traveled (like really less traveled) our programmer, HiddenSpartan, did some funky stuff and that explains the game. This technically is a massive feat of programming because to create what we had here, HiddenSpartan created a level editor, a character editor and the whole engine from scratch to get us to what we have now. He added "quantum boxes" last minute for a little added fun.
Eh..

We'll eventually use this a jumping point to create a far more complex RPG game. Hopefully you enjoy.

That's it!?

Right as I started, I noticed the title screen was plain and simple. You click "Play", and that was it. Right as I start there was these weird rectangle things. I think it's supposed to be ice. The physics to it is CRAZY. You touch it and it'll just launch where ever it wants go (even through the walls). The maze itself wasn't that hard either. And then when you beat it, it's just a caption that says "You win.", and then sends you back to the title screen. That's it!?

Not a bad game

Well there are some things you could improve on. But the first thing I want to know were what those white rectangles were? First I thought I had to hit them to either beat the game or to unlock some sort of path way. After I beat the game I see that these rectangles have no use. I thought they would be a path leading to the exit but on my way there I really did not see as much as other paths had. Well also think the maze itself could of been harder itself since it takes a minute at most to beat it. Maybe add different levels (Without those random rectangles) or just make a difficulty setting making the maze longer and more complicated the higher the difficulty. But I must admit the music was good. It fits the maze genre. Well good try at making a maze game, since it you did make it in 72 hours its pretty good. Though there is much room for improvement.

HiddenSpartan responds:

The rectangles are useless and don't represent anything.
The game is hardly complete in my opinion, and next time there will be something far better than what we have here.

A++ Would play again

I loved the end boss, after trying and dying for three hours I stumbled across The Golden Sword which one shotted him, imagine how excited I was.

Could use more Mini-bosses though.

HiddenSpartan responds:

We were worried that we put too many mini-bosses in, so we took a couple out. Also, a quicker way to get the Golden Sword is to type in Contra Code.
Thanks for the Review :D
